Audio Advice, with locations in Raleigh and Charlotte, is the premier home entertainment provider and systems integrator in North Carolina and was named Best Specialty A/V Retailer in the United States by TWICE Magazine. We’ve won the Metro Bravo award for best place to buy a home media system every time since the creation of this prestigious Triangle area award. Since 1978 we have served our clients as both a retailer and custom systems installer. Over the years, we have continually expanded product offerings and services as the home entertainment industry has changed. Audio Advice has grown from stereo retailing to providing home theater, home contol, high performance audio, shading, and lighting control. Home security and computer networking are also part of our wide range of installation and integration services. The level of performance we provide for our retail, homeowner, and builder partners has earned us a reputation second to none. We are committed to good corporate citizenship, with an emphasis on energy conservation and environmental responsibility in our work. We have won more local and national awards than any other provider in the Carolinas. Our mission is to deliver unparalleled experiences and solutions to our customer every single day. If you are interested in how Audio Advice products and services can enhance your home and your life, please check here about how to work with us. Our History- Audio Advice turned 34 years old in 2012. Here is a brief overview of some of our changes and a look at where we are now for our long time friends and first time visitors. A Service Emphasis- For 34 years Audio Advice has served our clients as both a retailer and custom systems installer. Leon Shaw founded Audio Advice in 1978, and grew the company to be renowned in the Carolinas for high performance audio. His passion for great sound and video has fueled our growth as the leading provider of home entertainment systems in the Carolinas and gained access to the finest products and brands worldwide. From the beginning, Leon’s focus on customer service has set Audio Advice apart. Today as Chairman of the Board, Leon continues to place a top priority on great customer service, and has learned techniques from a variety of sources. He attended the Walt Disney School of Customer Service twice, each time bringing back ideas to help improve customer relations. “It can be as simple as bringing a lunch to a client at their home],” he says. Or it can be something more complex, and even more remarkable to the customer. “We had a client whose system went down during a lightning storm with guests at his house,” recalls Leon. “We were able to dial into his system while we were on the phone with him and correct the problem instantly.” A Systems Approach Adding additional expertise is Leon’s partner, Scott Newnam, company President and CEO. Prior to joining Audio Advice, Scott was CEO of a multi-million dollar software company that sold interactive technology to television networks and cable and satellite companies. His company won an Emmy Award for their technology work on DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket. With a Harvard Business School background and experience leading his own software company, Scott brought Audio Advice unmatched experience in system building and delivery. A passionate consumer himself of home entertainment and home automation systems, Scott has led the Audio Advice initiative in designing and delivering music distribution and home automation systems. Our most notable development is our flagship Signature Series home automation system. It’s designed to be the best of its kind and has been featured in numerous publications. Scott started focus groups to learn exactly what people wanted in a home control system. Every single new version of our Signature Series goes through hundreds of hours of beta testing by Scott in his own home to make sure its perfect before we release it. You can read more about our Signature system in our blog: Audio Advice Signature System Scott also provides systems orientation to Audio Advice service principles. This approach is demonstrated in the Audio Advice facilities including a mini-home area integrated with our products, three system design conference rooms, and a high tech staging area for testing systems before they leave the facility. Before joining Audio Advice, Scott surveyed retail and installation businesses, concluding: “Customers want you in and out of their homes quickly,” noting that this is something companies often overlook. “Integrating and testing the product before it leaves your facility allows you to get in and out of a customer’s home more quickly with less opportunity for error. Ultimately this provides a better product and better experience for the customer.”
"I hired audio advice in 2/2024. I paid over 30K for a job to connect existing home theater, existing speakers and internet network. Price is outrageous especially at that price point when you ask them to make the job right, they come back and ask for more money. I wished I have done my homework and hired another reasonable company that stands behind their work. I would never hire them again for the price mark and quality of work done."

Heavenly Heat Infrared Saunas are made for the chemically sensitive. That means that our infrared saunas create an ideal, safe, and effective detoxification environment for anyone seeking to eliminate toxic substances from their body.
"Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts
Unfortunately, a hot tub does use a relatively large amount of electricity. In fact, much of the money you spend on your hot tub will go toward electricity costs to keep the water heated. A typical hot tub will use anywhere from 1,500 to 6,000 watts of electricity per month.
Using bubble bath, bath oils, bath salts, or moisturizing products that contain butters or oils can damage your jetted tub. Because of the water pump and jet mechanism, you need to be more selective with products for a jetted tub than you would for a traditional bathtub in order to keep it functioning properly and avoid expensive repairs. These products also leave residue that can feed mildew and mold, so it’s best to avoid them.
It’s easy to keep your hot tub clean and safe for all to enjoy by following a few simple tips:
Make sure anyone who uses the hot tub rinses themselves and their swimsuits off, perhaps in an outdoor shower near the hot tub.
Don’t add anything to your hot tub’s water. Bath oils and bubble bath liquids might seem like a fun addition to your hot tub experience, but these substances will turn the water in your tub foamy and its surfaces hard to clean.
Restrict eating in the tub to light snacks that you can easily clean out if there’s any spillage. Crumbs from crackers and chips can be difficult to pick up.
Make it a no-pet zone. Pet fur and dander can pose a cleaning issue, but it’s also not a great idea for your pet’s health and safety.
When your hot tub is completely dry, there is typically no need to introduce antifreeze into the plumbing. However, if you desire an extra layer of protection against potential freeze damage, you can consider adding some RV antifreeze to your hot tub lines. Just ensure that you use RV antifreeze specifically, as automotive antifreeze is highly toxic and should be avoided.
For a fully-foamed hot tub, freezing typically occurs when the temperature drops below 28 degrees Fahrenheitand remains at or below this level continuously for a minimum of 36 hours. If your hot tub and pumps are still operational, however, the water circulates, and this continuous movement helps prevent freezing, even in very cold conditions. This circulation, along with the insulation provided by the foam, helps maintain the water temperature and prevent it from freezing during extended cold periods. Still, if you’re not planning to run it regularly, be sure to winterize the hot tub properly to prevent damage from freezing.
