Electrical repairs, installations (from ceiling fans to outlets) and more. Brush hogging, gravel driveway smoothing, small dirt moving projects. I have been an electrician for 21 years, and will take on small or large projects. I own some equipment I use for my own property, including tractor with front-end loader, post hole digger, bush hog, and more. If any projects needing done require this equipment, I can get someone out to quote. One thing that sets me apart is if you need a line run out to your building, I will also dig the trench.

"Was get my home renovated and needed a electrician.. Harris Did great work and great price and I was very satisfied.. DEFINITELY will call again."

I have always enjoyed doing the "honey to dos" lists things. I now work a full time job with hours that make this available for me to do on the side. So if you need shelves hung, ceiling fans installed, furniture assembly, light fixtures, appliances installed, exercise equipment assembly and wall hangings. Also other small projects just reach out and I can let you know if I'm the man for the job. Also accept cash, Venmo and cashier's check (no personal checks)

Rite Now Electric is Middle Tennessee's most trusted source for electrical Installation, repair, and replacement. With over 25 years of experience, we specialize in electrical connections & wiring, installation, repairs, and more. Ready to fulfill your electrical needs -- We've got the tools and experience to guarantee success.

"I called Rite Now about installing a pole light in the front yard. They were able to come out within a couple business days to provide an estimate, which they provided the same day. Once I accepted the estimate, they were able to do the work within 3 days. They arrived on time and installed the pole light, which included extending a circuit from the garage and trenching about 12 feet, as well as pouring a concrete base. I also had them install a 20 amp circuit in a workshop. During that installation, they noticed the electric sub-panel was not up to code as it did not have a proper ground. They also noticed the shop did not have a GFCI. As part of the work, they installed the ground and GFCI. Very pleased with the work they did."

Growing up as a child in New Orleans, Louisiana, helping the community was a part of life. I’ve been in the construction industry for over 15 years and I love every part of it! Electrical work is my passion! I use to love wiring up hospitals and buildings with my uncle as a teenager, knowing one day I could have my own company! I would love to take care of all of your electrical needs! I offer fair prices, quality work, and honesty not often found these days. Give me a call for your free estimate!

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Many ceiling fan mounts feature a design that can accommodate slight slopes by using a ball joint mechanism at the end of the downrod. If your ceiling has a steeper slope than your fan allows for, you can install a downrod that will allow your fan to safely hang below the slope.

If your home already has wires for a ceiling fan (and optional light kit), then it’s quite safe to wire and install it yourself. Always be very careful to shut off the power before you begin, and confirm that the power is safely off with a non-contact voltage tester before touching anything. It’s also highly recommended to use eye protection, rubberized gloves, and tools with rubber handles to keep yourself safe from electric shock.

A handyperson generally charges $60 to $75 per hour for ceiling fan repair. If you need to hire an electrician, they charge $50 to $100 per hour. Some may charge on a per-project basis, which can be anywhere from $50 to $175. Contact a ceiling fan repair professional near you for a quote.

Fans not turning on, wobbling, noisy motors, or faulty remote controls are common issues requiring repair.

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.
