Hello my name is Wendy and my boyfriend and I are really great at what we do we try to help people around the area at a very low price we can fix just about anything! He's a full time maintenance man for Northwood Apts. But we do odd and end jobs around the area! We aren't trying to get rich doing we are just trying to make a few extra dollars. If you need something done around your house no job is to big or small just give us a call! God Bless

Handyman Services questions, answered by experts

Tipping contractors is not expected or required. However, consider tipping your remodeling contractor if they exceed your expectations.

Whether a scullery is worth it depends on how much you like to cook and entertain. If you frequently host gatherings—a scullery is likely worth the money. If you’re looking for ROI, it’s not so clear. It may not add significant value to your home, as it doesn’t increase square footage and may repurpose space that a buyer would have preferred to remain as-is (like a laundry room).

Prioritize tasks and arrange a consultation to discuss scope and timeline with the handyman.

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.

While handypeople do not need to be licensed in many places, you should only hire insured pros for any home improvement work. Your handyperson should have active liability coverage that protects them and you in the case of an error or accident. Furthermore, if they have employees on your property, they should also have workers’ compensation insurance. If you hire an individual or a company that is not insured and they damage your property, have an accident while on the job, or become injured on your property without insurance, you can be held financially liable.
