We are a full service small business offering surveying services throughout the region.

"Scheduled a survey, and they contacted us this morning saying they were coming out. However they never showed up and we've wasted a lot of time waiting for the scheduled date when we could've scheduled with someone else. Now we have to wait another 2 weeks. Would not recommend."

Land Surveying questions, answered by experts

Before beginning a land survey in Maryville, gather your property records, previous surveys, and any site plans. Check for recent zoning updates and secure necessary permits. Contact utility services to mark underground lines before work begins. Schedule your survey during dry weather for easier access, and choose a local land surveyor familiar with Maryville’s terrain to help avoid unexpected issues and keep your project moving smoothly.

Helpful?

In Maryville, property boundaries near fences, driveways, and additions like decks or garages often require updated land surveys, especially in neighborhoods with older lot layouts or recent development. Homes near local creeks may need elevation certificates, while shared driveways and utility easements benefit from periodic survey checks to prevent disputes and ensure compliance with local property regulations.

Helpful?

In Maryville, habits like mowing too close to survey markers, building fences or sheds without checking for property boundaries, or landscaping near markers can disrupt or remove critical reference points. Even routine yard work or letting vegetation overgrow survey stakes can obscure or damage them. Keeping survey markers visible and undisturbed helps maintain accurate property lines and avoids the need for a costly property survey redo.

Helpful?

In Maryville, it’s wise to schedule a land survey if you’re planning a home addition, installing a new fence, or experiencing property line disputes. After severe weather or flooding, check for shifted or missing survey markers. Updated surveys are also important before selling, refinancing, or if utility or zoning changes affect your area, helping protect your property boundaries and value.

Helpful?

Maryville’s rolling terrain, clay-rich soils, and seasonal rain can impact survey marker stability and access. Rapid neighborhood growth means newer areas may have clearer property boundaries, while historic districts can present unique challenges. Local HOA rules, infrastructure changes, and proximity to school district lines may also affect survey needs. Planning for weather delays and consulting a local land surveyor ensures accurate, reliable results.
