Small jobs welcome

"These are a group of fine people who did an excellent job on both the house painting and the new roof. They did the whole thing in less less than 7 day. The work was excellent! We were throughly impressed with their professionalism and the work pace as well as the attention to detail. They checked with us every step of the way to make sure we were satified and updated on any changes needed along with pricing. I will hire this group again in the future for other work that we need done. They cleaned up daily and everything looked fantastic. I recommend giving them a try and i think anyone else too will be impressed. Thanks to them for a job WELL done."

"We contacted DaBella to see about replacing our roof and they had an exceptional response time. Ethan and Joe came to our home. Both were very professional and just all around super nice gentleman. They worked with us trying to help get the best possible price and was very knowledgeable about their product and company. Really made buying a new roof a pleasurable experience"

"Pinnacle was very great. They did an excellent job and cleaned up very well when the job was completed. As far as, financing through them, not so great. Do not finance through Aqua Finance, go else where. Aqua Finance will not put any extra payments on your principle. I, myself, am getting away from Aqua Financing. Seach them and check out what is going on before you finance through them."

"Erie Homes was great. Ty and Chris shared the information about roofs in a clear and precise way. I love the high quality of the roofing materials and the standards they hold their workers to when placing the roof. Mike called me each step of the way, so I was prepared when the roofing supplies showed up. I even got calls after the beautiful roof was done. Amazing job!"

"Could not be happier with customer service and quality of work for new roof. I will call them for any further exterior home repair needed. Owner Jeff always kept me advised on project and always promptly returned my calls. Clean up after job was great."

"Pro: The roofing looks alright from street level. Nicer that the previous old style 3 tab shingle. The subcontractors came a day ahead of schedule. Con: After about a month they have yet to clean up. Promise at beginning was to clean up all trash and nails with magnet. My daughters had to clean up shingles from the neighbor s yard. Still have nails in the back yard and shingle in front."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Thatched roofs are expensive for two main reasons: high labor costs and low supply of available roofers. The labor is more intensive for a thatched roof than other roof materials, so your contractor will work longer and charge more for the installation. There are also few professionals with the specialized skills and experience to install thatched roofs. Since the supply of available professionals is low, the cost of compensation is high.

Due to the complexity and weight of tiles, DIY is not recommended. Professional installation ensures proper alignment and durability.

A roof pitch that’s too shallow won’t shed runoff as quickly, so you have an increased risk of water intrusion through the seams between your roofing materials. In colder climates, snow and ice will accumulate more easily on your roof, which can add enough weight to cause roof collapse and structural damage to your home.

During the framing process, builders connect the roof to the walls with materials, including metal connectors, plywood panels, and wood blocks. These roof-to-wall connections are important and provide weatherproofing, noise and temperature insulation, protection against pests, and home integrity. The type of connector and method used will vary, depending on your home’s construction and needs, and each has pros and cons in terms of cost, noise insulation, longevity, and reliability. Talk with your home or roofing contractor about the best connectors for your roof and walls, and what they recommend for your home.

The best kind of tarp for a roof is one that will stand up to the elements, weather, and sun. Viny roof tarps are known for their durability and resistance to water, tears, and mold—making these tarps a good choice for use in winter conditions and the summer sun. Polyethylene tarps are also quite durable and waterproof.
