"Bruce responded to my request very quickly to repair a louver door. He came in about two hours after my call. He determined the problem with the door and was able to fix it. I admire his tenacity while he was working. He did an excellent job. I will definitely call him for any future needs with home improvements. Bruce is a very pleasant person to work with. Thank you. "An actual employee of the company answered my phone call every time I called them. The crew showed up exactly when they were supposed to. Zack and Yancy kept me up to date every step of the way and were very professional and kind. They were so clear in explaining what was going on, I never had to ask any questions. The work was done quickly and properly. They cleaned all the mess up. I am pretty sure my floor was cleaner after they left than before they got there."

My name is Joshua Hale. I am the owner and operator of Helping Hand Handyman. I've been a resident to the area all of my life. I'm married to my beautiful wife Elizabeth. We raised seven children together. I really enjoy working for clients and helping to build their dreams. Whatever they may be. It's not just about the money, but about the experience for me. I really enjoy helping people and solving problems. There's not much I can't do when it comes to your homestead. Everything from the ground up. Electrical, plumbing, excavating, carpentry, any and all of your needs I can probably take care of. Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to meeting you. " When you need a helping hand. "I hired Mesa Family Staffing Agency for a general cleaning and I was extremely impressed with the results. They spent about six hours working through every room with great attention to detail. The team was professional, friendly, and efficient. My home looked fresh, organized, and spotless when they finished. For $260, the quality of the service was absolutely worth it. I will definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality cleaning."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are more pros than cons when staining a deck. Deck stain is more affordable than paint, it protects the wood and allows the natural textures to shine through, and it can revive the appearance of your home. However, deck stain also requires prep work (sometimes days or more), carries more upkeep than a painted deck, and can fade over time if not cared for.

While experienced DIYers may take on the challenge, hiring a licensed professional is often the best route, especially for larger or elevated structures. A local deck contractor is typically the best pro for the job, as they have specialized experience and are knowledgeable about local building codes, ensuring your deck is built safely and designed to last. Other professionals who can build a deck include general contractors and carpenters, who may be more readily available in some regions.

You can build an outdoor kitchen on a deck, but you should choose composite decking since it's more heat-resistant. Metal deck materials like steel and aluminum are also good choices because they're less flammable than wood. You should also consider the weight of the kitchen—make sure your deck can support it and any appliances you plan to use. You should consult a structural engineer to confirm exactly how much weight your deck can safely support when building an outdoor kitchen.

Generally, a patio is more accessible than a standard deck because patios are constructed at ground level. However, decks can be made accessible by adding a wheelchair-accessible ramp, a vertical lift, or a stair lift along the entry. An ADA-compliant deck ramp costs about $3,000 on average. The additional investment will provide a much friendlier experience for your guests with movement impairments.

Pressure-treated lumber is one of the most affordable types of decking upfront. This material is widely available, so you can usually find pressure-treated lumber at almost any local home improvement store you visit. Keep in mind that wood requires a lot of upkeep with repainting and restaining, so any kind of wood may be more expensive in the long run than something like PVC decking.
