"I’ve enjoyed entrusting my lawn to M and J. I never have to wonder when my lawn will be mowed because the communication is so forthcoming. When I point out details to upgrade my original requests, the additional elements are covered. On one occasion I observed him about to pull out of the driveway with the machinery all locked and loaded. I’m pretty confident that he didn’t know that I was watching. He aborted the exit from my property because he noted that cut grass had been tossed up on the driveway during the mow. He got out of the vehicle and brushed away the extra grass—a classy move. That’s the kind of service I like."

"This was our first time using Hartman power washing Company and we were really pleased with his work. He did a good job on our trailer, and was honest about what he was able to do on our shed due to its condition. He was well equipped and we will use his services in the future."

"They did a great job.  They showed up when they were supposed to.  They actually did my sidewalk in addition to the work that they were supposed to do for me.  They got four or five different houses in the neighborhood in addition to mine so people could see what a great job they did on my house.  They were on time and courteous.  They were wonderful.  I was completely satisfied and I would definitely recommend them to anyone for that type of service."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, many professionals use dustless or water-based blasting methods for reduced environmental impact.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
