"Justin was extremely professional upon his arrival. He did all of the work I needed with such patience and precision. One of the electrical sockets I needed installed was in my living room. I wanted to mount my television on the wall, but there were no sockets above the fireplace. Justin added an electrical socket in the wall exactly where I needed it. Not only did he add the electrical sockets needed to accommodate the mini bar area I was hoping to have in my bonus room, he offered to build the mini bar and did an amazing job at it! This proves that Justin is truly a jack of all trades. Every job was very neat upon its completion- all wires were properly hidden. It is evident that Justin truly loves, and is very good at, what he does. I hire Justin for all of my household needs!"

"Busy day for us, but Kimani was amazing as always. I should not be trusted to put anything larger than a digital camera together, so he came to my rescue to build two things, and hang two things. Everything was done timely and well! Always great to work with!"

"The areas of our fencing that needed repair were done efficiently by Cliff and his crew. They did exactly what we wanted them to do, that is to replace several posts and slats of our backyard fencing. This was the second time I hired Cliff as he also repaired our two gate areas. I would recommend him."

"Monster Home Services did a great job. They replaced some gutters and downspouts for me, then cleaned my gutters, handrails, garage, and garage gutters. Great work. I would give them an A+! They even gave me a recommendation of another pro to take care of some other work that I need to have done."

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

Tiny houses, often called tiny homes, need between 100 to 400 square feet, with the most common size being between 200 and 300 square feet. Tiny houses more than 400 square feet venture into apartment-size dwellings and may be considered more of a traditional house than a tiny home. The number of occupants, desired lifestyle, and furniture will all be major factors that determine the desired tiny house size.

There's no simple answer to which is less costly: wood or metal-framed homes. In most cases, metal building components cost more than wooden ones, while entire metal buildings cost less than wooden versions. However, regardless of the exterior framing or structure, each must meet similar building codes. This means that the costs are about the same, even considering that wood will require more maintenance than metal over time.

Skid foundations, deck block foundations, and concrete block foundations are the most affordable shed foundation options. Of these, we recommend deck blocks. Deck blocks are easy to install and level, and they raise your shed up off the ground to prevent rotting from exposure to water and moisture. Keep in mind that deck blocks won’t resist soil movement or frost heave, so they’re not ideal in areas with expansive soil or a deep frost line.

Generally speaking, building a swing set is cheaper than buying a prefabricated one, but this assumes you have all the tools and knowledge to complete the project. The average cost to build a swing set is $514, but you should also factor in the time and effort it will require—if you don’t want to give up your weekend, it’s worth considering buying instead of building.

The construction stage is almost always the longest part of building a house. Within this stage, framing often takes the most time, lasting anywhere from one week to a couple of months, depending on the home's size, the crew, and the time of year. Other parts of the construction phase include pouring the foundation and installing doors, windows, a roof, siding, drywall, and flooring. The planning and design phase can also be very time-consuming, sometimes taking months or even years, especially for a custom home. The final finishing process, which includes painting and installing trim, is typically shorter than the construction or planning stages.
