"Hired to epoxy my garage. Quality work with a very good warranty; employees are very responsive to customer needs and after the sale service. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Would highly recommend as they have several epoxy flooring options available."

"The Concrete Gentlemen did a superb job on our stamped concrete patio installation. They were timely, efficient, and professional every step of the way. The price was quite reasonable as well. What really stood out to me most was the great communication. They responded almost immediately to any text. They answered every question politely and thoroughly. They showed up exactly when they were scheduled, (which is very different from other companies I've dealt with). We enjoyed working with Antonio, and we couldn't be happier with the final product!!"

"We decided we wanted to give our garage a fresh look and one that would endure the test of time and a rambunctious 2-year old. After speaking to several different epoxy flooring companies, we ultimately chose Granite Garage Floors. The determining factors were the competitive price, the lifetime guarantee and Hals (the owner) personality and professionalism. Hal came to our house twice before we had even agreed to move forward with his company; once to survey our garage and give us a quote and again to bring us larger samples of what the different floor coatings looked like so we could make our final decision on color. In addition, Hal was very responsive to my emails and also worked our job in based upon the scheduling that we requested. Finally, Hal not only met with us prior to us selecting his company, but he was also at our house working alongside his team both days. This went a long way for me as I've had too many experiences with other companies where you speak to the face of the company before your project starts and rarely see that person afterward. That was definitely not the case here. It's been two weeks since our garage floors have been made over and we couldn't be happier. Family and friends have been blown away by the transformation as well. We would highly recommend Granite Garage Floors!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Evenly wetting a wood floor before applying a stain is called water popping. It raises the grain and opens the wood’s pores to absorb more stain. When done properly, it can make the stain look darker and deeper. However, it’s important to evenly wet the floor and let it dry before applying the stain.

Not every type of flooring is well suited to a wood stove. However, ceramic or stone tiles are good choices since they are durable, heat-resistant, and easy to clean. Softer flooring options, like carpet, could be damaged by the heat produced by a wood stove—or even create a fire hazard.

The cost to seal concrete is around $1,500 on average, but you could spend anywhere from $1,000 to $7,000, depending on the type of sealer used and the size of the space. You may want to seal concrete that receives a large amount of foot traffic or heavy wear. While you can seal concrete yourself with materials from a home improvement store, you must ensure the surface is clean and ready to accept the sealer. Hiring a professional is often recommended to ensure good, even coverage that provides adequate protection.

You can seal a concrete slab by cleaning the surface, filling in any cracks, etching the surface, applying a sealer, and letting it dry. Concrete slabs don't typically need sealing, but you can use a topical concrete sealer if you notice signs of water damage. If you haven't already fixed the cause of the leak, then you'll want to repair the plumbing before you seal a concrete slab.

Epoxy and polyurethane sealers can last five to 10 years, while acrylic sealers last two to three years or more depending on the use, wear of the surface, and type of sealer you choose. Areas that see heavy traffic or extreme ice and snow may require more frequent sealing. Test your concrete every two years to gauge how it responds to absorbing water or if it fully repels it for longer than 20 seconds.
