"Great job.Roofing crew tarped lawn before starting job and when finished cleaned up lawn and ran magnetic tool over lawn and driveways to make sure there were no nails left behind. Everyone I dealt with from Braxton, my salesman, to the crew that replaced my roof and all the company people that I talked to were extremely nice and the price was reasonable. I would recommend Exterior Home Solutions to anyone that needs an estimate for a roofing job ."

"I absolutely love my bathroom redo. Pepe did an excellent job on everything he did In my bathroom. I had all the later wall removed from the bathroom. I had my bathroom door made wide enough that I can now get my walker inside the bathroom. Pepe did all the electric work and plumbing. He also did the sheet rock, painting, and crown moulding and the floorboard work. He also installed the flooring. The new shower he installed for me was custom built to fit my needs as a handicapped person. I have a custom seat, shower head next to the seat and all grab bars were placed in exactly where I showed PePe to put them. Every thing I had done in my bathroom was done to perfection."

The most obvious and severe sign of a roof leak is the presence of wet spots on your ceilings, specifically on the top floor of your home. You can also identify a roof leak from your attic if you see sagging insulation or if you notice mold growth or water stains on the rafters or the underside of the roof deck. From the street, look for cracked or missing shingles, moss growth, and shingles that are curling upward, all of which can suggest a leak.

Copper roof strips offer better coverage and more damage protection than zinc roof strips. Although both deter moss and algae growth, copper also offers UV protection. Zinc strips require more strips than copper to cover the roof’s surface area, which means more holes in your roof. Copper strips are also more flexible and last longer than zinc strips.

The ridge is the horizontal line where two sloping roof sections meet at the top, forming the highest point of the roof. A hip, on the other hand, is the external angle formed where two roof sections meet and slope downward toward the walls, typically at a lower angle than the ridge. The ridge runs horizontally along the peak and the hip runs diagonally from the peak to the roof's edges.

While a few icicles on your roof are standard, a large accumulation can be a sign of a bigger problem, such as poor insulation. This is particularly true if you are also dealing with ice dams. If you have numerous large icicles, it is recommended to have a roofing contractor diagnose potential insulation issues and create a plan to solve them.

While two-layer torch down roofs are easier to install than three-layer roofing, it is best not to DIY the installation. Torch down roofs require expert knowledge of the application process to get it right the first time and prevent leaks or poor craftsmanship, not to mention that roof work can be dangerous.
