Our service area is Memphis metropolitan area and we : paint interiors/exteriors, build/install doors, repair drywall cracks, repair roof leaks, replace rotten wood with new wood or Hardie board, remove "popcorn" from ceilings, replace light fixtures, correct minor plumbing problems, replace plumbing fixtures/toilets, install fencing, repair gates, build/repair closet shelves, remodel bathrooms, install concrete/brick mailboxes, flower bed edging, sidewalks, pizza ovens, install flooring (wood, vinyl, laminate, tile). Most experts would not recommend hanging wallpaper over existing wallpaper more than twice. Even if the walls are in good condition and primed well, that third layer of wallpaper could cause problems with adhesion. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.

It depends: You can wallpaper over non-coated wallpaper, but you should never wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper. This non-recommended method will cause the new wallpaper to fail to stick, which can lead to bubbling, imperfections, and even mold growth between the layers of wallpaper. Consult a professional wallpaper hanger to determine your existing wallpaper type or remove the current wallpaper and paste residue so that the new wallpaper will adhere properly.

It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.
