"DO NOT GO HERE! The day after I had work done here, I noticed my car had been wrecked on the passenger side while at their shop by whoever employed by them drove it (the small parking lot was jam packed so I had to park next door upon asking them) I didnt notice the damage at pick up because my drivers side was facing their door and I didnt walk around my car. They damaged my brand new rear wheel as well as my rear bumper. I drove 30 mins back to show a manager the damage. They were supposed to call me the following business day and didnt so I gave them an extra day before reaching back out. They don’t have cameras but a second manager(I never heard from the top manager again)returned my call saying I could come view the pawn shops footage from next door so I immediately drove 30 mins back for him to show me a blurry picture of a video on his phone he had taken of the pawn shops screen and let me know he could no longer show me the footage he had called me 30 minutes prior telling me to come see. Filter to 1 star reviews and you’ll find several stories about their other botch jobs and instances of damaging peoples vehicles and not making it right. My windshield was about $100 cheaper than using safelite’s mobile service which will not cover my court filing fees and/or possible repair fees if it comes down to me being responsible for fixing the damage they did. To top if off the winshield replacement job doesn’t look great."

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Distilled white vinegar removes stickers from glass by breaking down the adhesive with its acidic qualities. You can apply the vinegar to the area with a sponge or cleaning cloth. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then scrape the area with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card.

To tell if a window is single or double-pane, focus on the edge. Double-pane windows have two glass layers separated by a spacer, which you can usually see around the edges. For single-pane windows, it’s just one sheet of glass. Another easy trick: shine a light at the window—single-pane glass reflects once, while double-pane glass reflects twice. Lastly, if you feel both sides of the glass on a cold day, double-paned windows will feel warmer because of the insulating gap between the panes.

For small, non-pressure-related cracks, you can fix them using two-part epoxy. This spares you the cost and hassle of replacing the glass. Simply clean the surface and remove any debris or dirt, wait for the glass to dry, then spread an even layer of mixed epoxy solution over the crack. You can use a putty knife or rubber spatula to push the epoxy into the crack.
