Over 10 years in both commercial and residential construction, we can handle any job, big or small. From new construction to remodeling, we can help. Quality, customer satisfaction, and safety are our top priorities.

"The work was excellent. Jessie and his crew were very friendly and professional. They kept us informed of the work progress and asked Roger his opinion on the work being done.  "

Tub Shower Conversion questions, answered by experts

In some cases, people are getting rid of bathtubs because of the floor space they gain after removal. Showers can make more efficient use of bathroom space. In some cases, people get rid of tubs for accessibility purposes. It can be difficult for some individuals to step into and out of a tub. For these people, a shower with no lip or step is safer and easier to use than a tub.

Whether removing a bathtub lowers your home value depends on your local real estate market. If many potential homebuyers in your area are families with young children, they will likely want at least one bathtub in the home. However, a walk-in shower can increase perceived home value among older homebuyers and those without young children.

Installing a clawfoot tub with a minimum of 6 inches of clearance from surrounding walls allows ample room for the faucet and pipework, makes cleaning easier, and reduces the chance of moisture being trapped between the tub and the walls. It might need to be closer if the faucet comes directly out of the wall.

Roman tubs are very different from ordinary tubs. A Roman tub is typically deeper and broader than a traditional tub, and it's often installed on a custom platform with the faucet positioned on the deck rather than on the wall. Ordinary tubs are more shallow and usually feature built-in shower options

The wet area is the most expensive part of a bathroom remodel. This is the shower and tub area and includes the plumbing, flooring, and surround. Tiling and custom work will drive up the cost of this area, especially if you use small mosaic tiles for a spa-like feel. To drive down costs, use a simple shower, small and larger tiles, or prefab shower walls.
