Most of the time, though there may be some code variations on the local level, a water source like a pool requires a GFCI breaker. These breakers detect electrical leaks of 5 mA or more and trip the breaker. However, the size of the pool and motor type determine the exact GFCI needs. A GFCI outlet with a reset button may be enough for an aboveground pool with a small motor or pump. Home inspectors only check swimming pools if they have expertise in that area. During a standard home inspection, they focus on the house’s structure, roof, foundation, electrical, plumbing, and other components. If they examine your pool, they’ll check the pump and heater. The disadvantages of container pools come down to flexibility and customization. Shipping containers come in standard sizes, so the sizes and shapes are limited. They also have a very distinctive look, which may not suit the aesthetic of your backyard. 

Beyond that, while container pools are more affordable than in-ground pools, certain models can be more expensive. This includes the cost to heat your pool, since the metal walls have more heat transfer than other types of pools (which some brands circumvent with insulation).

You can check if your pool is bonded by looking for a copper wire that connects to the motor and pumps and then extends into the ground.
