"I called to get a circuit with two 3 way switches a a 4 way switch looked at. They were prompt but the charge reflected that they replaced a single 3 way switch and two 4 way switches. That seems a bit unlikely to me. Although I am an electrical engineer I generally leave house wiring to the experts in that area - electricians. I believe that the problem was that one of the 3 way switches was wired incorrectly with the hot and neutral reversed as this would have produced the problem I was experiencing. But again, not my area of expertise. I only question the second 4 way switch."
