JP Contracting is a newly formed company with the principles in the business having over 20 years experience in the construction industry. We got tired of being the point of contact for our customers and keeping secrets we do everything open book. We specialize in new home construction, large and small remodels (I.e. kitchen, bath, home additions) We take care of everything from local permitting to material acquisition to completion. Keeping the client informed along the way.

"Project went smooth from start to finish. Definitely added insight onto how the project should work versus what I was originally expecting and the finished product turned out way better than what I had envisioned."

Rising S Bunkers offers the best underground steel shelters, bomb shelters, safe rooms & blast doors on the market. We lead the industry in quality and we have the highest standards for craftsmanship in underground bunkers and other emergency shelters. The Rising S standard of quality is unmatched by any other bunker company on the market today. Additionally, every project is completely customizable. Many customization's are available at no additional cost.

"Not even sure where to begin with this nightmare which I will now need to spend more money in legal just to get my money back if I'm lucky. It all started back in 2022 when a respectful salesperson Gary sold me on an underground bunker. Still to this day, he answers the phone for me, and he doesn't even work at Rising S company anymore. To keep a long story shorter, I paid over $100K for my unit after being pushed to make payments to 'keep it on the assembly line'. It has been paid in full since August of 2023 (just about 15 months for anyone counting). I received a response (finally) earlier this year in March that there is new ownership of the company, and the man in charge is Brad Dancer. After trying to contact for quite awhile, I did finally get him on the phone. He apologized and explained to me that he's in over his head. Even though I believe I have been more than patient, I agreed to give him some time to finish and deliver my unit. We agreed that August of this year (2024) I would have it. I checked in by email in June to ask if we were still on track. I received a response that we were indeed on track. Now fast forward to today (10/25/24), I have been completely ghosted by email, phone, and text. No responses at all by ANY form of communication. At this point, I realize I have been robbed of over $100K. And after reading many other consumers reviews on different platforms, it appears I'm not the only one. I will now begin my journey with the Attorney General and Legal process. I'll update my status here so anyone can see what happens. At least people can get answers some way. It is not a good feeling to not be able to get a company to call you, especially after they've taken over $100k. You can't even leave a message on the office line ( which no one has EVER answered by the way). I don't understand how a company like this could still be in business. My recommendation to anyone reading this.....I hope it's not too late for you."

We are a licensed, residential general contracting company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Home Solutions is family owned and operated. We are committed to upholding our core values of Integrity, Responsibility, and Honesty when working with customers. Our mission is to provide quality work in a reasonable time for the lowest cost. We do projects both big and small. We offer a wide variety of both interior and exterior services. Most of the services we provide are “in home,” meaning that we do the work ourselves.

"I had Home Solutions replace all of my windows and a sliding door. It was not a good experience at all. To highlight the worst parts: 1.Eric gave me a quote of $12000 of which $6000 was labor so $429 per window. He gave no contract. 2. If you don’t use his terms, he “doesn’t understand what you are saying.” Trim, even pointing to it, means nothing to him. 3. He only installed the windows. He never framed them out and brought it back to original. He put trim around the windows outside but never painted them. He never discussed it with me that he wasn’t going to paint the outside trim. He never said he was not going to frame out the windows. 4. Eric said he would put in the sliding door screen door knob and adjust the screen door. When I emailed him and asked him to do that along with straightening a very crooked board and putting a cable back on the house, Eric said his attorney was putting a mechanics lien against my house as we speak because I would only write him and he said I wasn’t communicating with him. My attorney told me to get everything in writing. When I said that’s fine, I will be talking to my attorney, he then states “let’s start over.” He wanted to be paid BEFORE this work was done He said “I was playing a game.” I have the email where he wrote that just because I wanted 4 things done before paying him. 5. Eric’s company scraped off the paint of my siding that was just painted in May. He did not repair it. His employees chipped huge chips from my brand new siding and would not fix it besides putting caulking over it – no painting it, no smoothing it out. He felt crooked boards were acceptable. The windows were not installed evenly in the window hole. I have pictures of all of this and the tests if anyone wants to see them. His employees messed up the landscaping around the house, broke bushes and left garbage all over. For $400 plus a window, they can clean up. They charged me $600 for a dumpster that they threw garbage in from another site. I paid for another person’s garbage being disposed of or perhaps Eric charged them money too. 6. I asked another contractor to come over – a male – and Eric changed his attitude. I told Eric that I was refi – ing my house. When the other contractor was there, Eric said that appraisers would over look not framed out windows. Even the other contractor agreed that they don’t do that. 7. I took a loan out for the windows. I repeatedly asked Eric if $12500 was all I needed, the price went up due to a complication on windows. He said yes. After Eric put the windows in, he said he would give me an estimate to frame out the windows. When I asked for him to do the 4 things, Eric refused to give the estimate. He “doesn’t do estimates for free” is what he said. His employees came over the day of the City inspection with Eric, they did the four items, he was paid and then said that he would send me the estimate for framing the windows. I told him I didn’t want it. He told me that he was going to send it anyway, just in case I wanted him to do it. Estimate was $4000 dollars for 12 windows or $334 a window more. 8. Be very careful with Home Solutions if you chose to use them. I can show all the pictures, texts and emails to you if you want to help you understand how they work."

Home Building questions, answered by experts

This answer varies based on where you are, but most states require that all homes are greater than 320 square feet. Remember that four walls are not the only requirements—windows, closet space, minimal ceiling heights, and indoor air quality are also factors. Each state and municipality differs, though, and as some don’t consider tiny homes permanent shelters, you’ll need to check to ensure you aren’t violating any local or state laws with your build.

Home additions cost between $22,000 and $84,000, with the average addition totaling $51,000. Project costs can vary greatly depending on the type of addition and the required work to complete it. Homeowners can expect to pay between $80 and $210 per square foot for an addition. Conversions of existing space will sit toward the lower end of that range, while bump-outs and new construction add-ons will push toward the higher end.

In-law suite floor plans almost always include at least one bedroom, a bathroom, and a combination kitchen/living room area or separate spaces for the kitchen and living room. Larger in-law suites built in accessory dwelling units separate from your main structure can feature multiple bedrooms, dining rooms, and entertainment rooms in addition to the necessities.

Complex plumbing is tricky and expensive in an off-the-ground dwelling like this. By considering options like composting toilets, rainwater collection, and gray-water sinks, you save money and help the environment.

It’s typically more cost-effective to move a building along with its accessories than to demolish and rebuild it from scratch. However, that’s only if you can move the accessories without damaging them. However, if you plan to demolish the accessories anyway, it is advisable to do so before the move to save costs.
