Hardy Counters & Floors specializes in Resinous Coatings and Concrete Polishing and Staining. We are located on the Eastern side of South Dakota and service the entire 5 state area. Our trained staff has experience in Epoxies, Polyaspartics, Polyurias, Urethanes, Sealers, Densifiers, Dyes, Acid Stains, Concrete Overlays and more! Hardy's owner Chad Leddy grew up in Watertown SD and has been contracting for over 10 years. As the industry has grown so has Chad and his staff. Polymer coatings are very durable and cost efficient but take a lot of knowledge and experience to use them and apply them correctly. Through the years we have continued to educate ourselves and have been certified in many manufactures products and application techniques. The equipment we use is efficient and HEPA certified and recognized as some of the top brands in the industry.

No, termites don’t eat bamboo flooring like they do hardwood flooring. That’s because bamboo is a hardy grass that is naturally resistant to many pests, including termites. If you’re concerned about termites or other pests that could damage your floors, you can achieve a look similar to hardwood without the stress of pests by installing bamboo flooring.

Plywood is the best type of subfloor for a mobile home, though if you’re installing flooring in a bathroom, you may want to install a vapor barrier or use a moisture-proof subfloor material like Amdry. OBS is similar, but it can swell when moisture is present. 

Either way, old mobile home subflooring made from particleboard can cause issues with your joints. If you’re replacing your subfloor, it’s best to upgrade to plywood.
