"They answered the phone on the first call. Gave an estimated arrival time later the same day. Have me a call in advance, as arranged. Arrived promptly. Quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Explained what they had found and what they had done about it. All done in 15 minutes. Since this was a fairly minor job, I can not give them an "excellent" rating, but I definitely plan to call them next time we need an electrician."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

It’s not illegal to fly an American flag at night without a light shining on it, but the U.S. Flag Code notes that it’s respectful to provide illumination. Installing a flagpole light is also common practice and will add more to your home’s curb appeal at night. Choosing a solar-powered or battery-powered light for your flag is an affordable way to provide illumination.

Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.

No, you should not leave LED Christmas lights up all year. While the LED lights themselves are very durable, their wiring and casings can be as vulnerable as any Christmas lights. They’re subject to drying out, experiencing cold or sun damage that causes them to crack, and even damage caused by gnawing pests. (The same is true of incandescents.) If you want your lights to last the years that they’re rated for, bring them inside after Christmas is over.

Installations include new light fixtures, upgraded panels, fixed outlets, and tracked wiring continuity.
