"Very happy with our fence and I think our dog is even happier! The fence came out great. I will be working with them in the future for a pergola as well. I think the price was great for the quality fence I ended up getting!"

"We met Chris quite by accident, but he turned out to be the right person for the job. His prices were affordable and the quality is exactly what I expected. The job was done timely and I would definitely recommend Chris and his crew again. Don't we all need fence work?"

"As soon as I contacted them about a screened in porch, we arranged a date for an estimate. Ed acted promptly and after having 3 previous estimates I knew that EMZ was the team I was going to work with. Ed and Mike arrived the next week and started the construction. They worked hard and the standard of their work is outstanding. The porch and deck are now my pride and joy and look forward to spending a lot of time out there. I would definitely recommend the EMZ team which includes Melissa, who also kept me up to date with costs and a payment schedule. You will not be disappointed!!"

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

No, it’s not safe to leave a doggy door open. It might be more convenient, especially at night when you just want to lay in bed. However, when you leave it open, it increases the chance of other critters getting in without your knowledge. Also, it leaves your pup unsupervised for hours at a time.

While doggie doors are convenient for pet owners, they do offer a few drawbacks. For instance, they’re small enough that unwanted critters could come into the house, such as raccoons, snakes, rats, and insects.

They’re also large enough that small children can escape through them, which can be a serious concern to parents of young children.

Finally, doggie doors can make it difficult to regulate your home’s temperature because they constantly let in hot or cold outside air.

Squirrels are pretty skittish creatures, and they dread the presence of rodent-chasing dogs and cats. Sudden noises and bursts of activity can send them scampering away. Anything with an element of surprise, like motion-detecting lighting, strobe lights, and noisy wind chimes, can unsettle them. Even loud radios and voices can be perceived as threatening and terrifying to these furry critters.

Cockroaches, ants, flies, bed bugs, and termites are common in business environments.

Rocks are less likely to attract snakes and other critters because their prey (termites, ticks, and other insects) don’t usually inhabit this environment. However, if you have placed together rocks with large spaces in between or near a source of water, you may find a snake or an occasional chipmunk seeking shelter.
