We hired this company to do reconstruction of our home due to water damage and give him $57,000 that he wanted his money upfront for and he ended up bringing in subcontractors and never once come to the job himself and it was the worst job for reconstruction that I’ve ever seen

The owner, Greg, is very knowledgeable and is the consummate professional: Prompt, good communication, quality work and ability to think “outside the box”. We originally contacted him for a fence around a patio and ended up with that fence, a perimeter fence and—his idea—a “floating” wooden deck that enables us to enjoy the marsh area behind our house. Our “blah” backyard now looks like it should be in “Southern Living” magazine!

Charleston Creative Fences spent a little over a month at my home. In this time the level of efficiency, communication, and workmanship has been outstanding from Greg, Diane, and the crew! I didn’t really know I wanted my dirt driveway cemented until Greg suggested it be done along with a carport overhang that was to be constructed. He also implemented my suggestion of cutting out a side portion of my front porch railing to allow me to enter directly from the carport. The other day when it rained, I pulled in the carport, got out, and went inside without getting rained on or stepping in mud….gotta say, it made me do a little dance! I highly recommend Charleston Creative Fences to help with any home design and construction you may be considering!

As Charleston Creative Fences built me a beautiful new fence, they also did me a tremendous favor in removing an old rickety shed in the yard that I have hated for years. In its place (as I had been thinking about) Greg suggested extending a portion on my deck to add a platform on which to build a new shed. Not only did the crew do a great job on the shed, they also constructed a ramp that makes it so much easier to get items in and out of the shed and yard! Now I have useful storage space that is not only accessible, but decorative as well with a HardiePlank exterior to add to the overall look of my surroundings!

In just the last year, my large backyard with my long older fence has begun to flood, which has caused damage. When Greg came to look at my monster fence, I was impressed that he actually took the time to consider repairing (which I knew would probably not be an option) as well as replacing it in a way to help with water drainage as well as mitigate cost. I liked his vision of what could be done, and work soon began. I left town for a 2-week vacation as they started tearing down the old and building the new. Throughout this time, Greg communicated with me and provided pictures on a regular basis to keep me informed of progress and any changes. He sent pictures after rains that showed my yard dry, when before it would have flooded. After one particularly heavy rain, it did flood as before, but the water did not remain as long as in the past. While we didn’t totally solve the problem, it certainly improved the water issue as well as provided addition of a unique and beautiful fence. Upon my return, I watched the crew work tirelessly to meticulously cut and place the boards and construct the fence and gate. I now gaze at my backyard with pleasure as I enjoy the renewal of the space to a place of relaxing enjoyment. I could not be happier with the results!

Greg and his crew did an amazing job on our fence project. Sticker shock at first with the quote, but the finished product is well worth it. Greg was able to work with us on our budget, helped with HOA approval. Fast with the scheduling of the installation after we all agreed on a design. Horizontal fencing (Greg's suggestion) is the way to go, it look so good in our backyard. Attention to detail is the way that Greg and his crew work. Quality deck boards and deck screws, no nails in this job. From measuring and cutting the deck boards to making sure the whole fence is level. Quality workmanship by the great workers.He was able to incorporate our existing arbor into the fence design. Family and friends that have stopped by love the looks of a horizontal fence and agree that this is a quality built fence. You will not go wrong with a fence built by Greg and his crew. Greg and his team were incredible from start to finish. Greg is prompt and professional in all aspects of his craft from communication, expectation setting, and delivery. We were seeking a custom job, and had a hard time finding a company who could create something to the level that we expected. Greg took our vision and made it better than we could have imagined. He was personally on site daily to connect and make sure we were happy during each stage of construction. Our final product is beautiful and showcases our unique lot. Greg and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. We wanted something to cover our trash cans and AC unit to improve our curb appeal and hide these necessary but unsightly parts of the house. We also needed a shed for our bikes, tool, etc. and wanted it attached to the house. The price was higher than what we'd have paid for some pre-built shed or premade fencing, but the results were above and beyond what we'd hoped for and absolutely worth the cost. Greg took the time to understand exactly what we wanted - it was clear that he prioritized quality and making sure the results looked like part of the house, not tacked-on. He stayed in communication with us throughout the process and got our input while also offering suggestions based on his expertise.
