"Mr Squires was hired to repair or replace 3 exterior door thresholds, adjust 1 interior pocket door, adjust or replace 1 exterior door knob and paint 1 8x8 room. Mr Squires began the work but stated that he could not and would not be able to finish the work properly due to a lack of time and skill. Mr. Squires had removed the front door threshold and replaced it with 1 unsupported treated pine 2x4 and approximately 2 cans of great stuff gap foam. The front door of the home was rendered unusable and structurally unsafe/unsound. Door framing at the top of the door was compromised leading to a severe wasp infestation. All aspects of Mr.Squires work was left incomplete and shoddily done. Despite Mr Squires having stated clearly and directly that he was abandoning the project and directing me to secure more competent contractor services to address the above concerns Mr.Squires 2 weeks later late at night left me a series of voicemails demanding immediate payment in full of $900 "without any discussion". My request for a professional bill/reciept and copies of the materials receipt he was charging me prior to payment was taken to be unreasonable and unnecessary by Mr.Squires."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Bleach and vinegar can both kill moss effectively. However, if you’d rather use a non-chemical option that’s better for the environment, vinegar is the choice. Depending on the paver material you use, vinegar and bleach can also stain or discolor the surface. When unsure, test and use the option that doesn’t react with your paver material.

Decks, driveways, siding, and patios are common areas that see improved appearance.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams, but the best thing to do is address insulation issues in your attic. If you do decide to remove the snow manually, you should always use a roof rake rather than a shovel. You shouldn’t climb your snowy roof in any circumstance, and roof rake allows you to remove the snow from the ground or a ladder. For the best results, remove snow as soon as possible after it falls.

Vinegar, bleach, chlorine, barley straw, and a bevy of dedicated algaecides can kill algae, which is the easy part. Preventing algae from returning can be a struggle for some homeowners, but keeping the patio well-maintained and clean is a good first step.

If you wish to forego painting your shingles but still want to give them a fresh look, a deep cleaning is the first step. Clean off any debris from your roof and gutters, and then power wash your shingles to get grime and algae off. To take things one step further, you might even consider installing new gutters to give your home a bright new look.
