"I cannot say enough good things about the work Bill did for me. He was prompt attentive, and knew what he was doing. He left my property, clean and tidy, and I would definitely hire him again. Great guy!!"

"Trey came out and gave an estimate. He was a very nice person and had a good demeanor. The cost of the project ended up being more than 40K, due to underlying issues with the house. WE won't be moving forward with the project, but I'd call them again if I needed an inspection."

"I was looking for low maintenance flowerbeds in my front yard and Carolina Landscaping gave me exactly what I asked for. The work was very well done and communication was great from the beginning. A quick drawing was provided to show the design work as we were completely removing shrubs and planting new ones. I am definitely planning to use them for my backyard project."

"As a General Contractor, J&J Oglebsy Concrete has been pouring concrete for us for over 15 years. They are on the job when they say they will be there and has always given us a full complete job. From the smallest (2 yards) to the largest (200 plus yards) they are fully capable of handling it with the properly skilled workers and equipment. They have competitive pricing also. We, highly, recommend them"

Concrete Walls questions, answered by experts

Do some research before hiring a concrete contractor . Consider asking whether the contractor is insured, if they can provide references of past clients you can contact, and if this type of work requires a permit. Another potential question is how long they guarantee their work.

Aim for a concrete thickness of at least 4 inches for the walls of your above-ground storm shelter and 3.0 to 3.5 cubic yards of concrete for the base of your storm shelter. If you’re concerned about the thickness of your concrete while building a storm shelter, get in touch with a professional storm shelter builder to make sure your work is up to code and safe.

Installation typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the wall’s size and site conditions.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

With proper installation and sealing, both poured concrete and cinder block walls can be durable options for your yard or home. Poured concrete walls do offer more durability and strength, but cinder block walls are less expensive to build and DIY. A concrete wall costs an average of $6,500.
