"Internet connection was weak, garbled communication. But, they remained very professional and we could crack a joke every now and then when things got annoying. Once up and running the diagnostic test was done in 5 min. Confirming my suspicions. Part number was sent within minutes."

"Carlton Cisson was an amazing representative of the company - he did a thorough inspection, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Explained everything very clearly and just had overall excellent customer service skills. Made me feel confident in the decision to use this company. They offered very professional materials to show me what I would be needing and what would happen. Offered a lifetime warranty."

Small jobs welcome

"Mr Boyd and his son arrived at the time they said they would. They were professional, knowledgeable, conscientious, and personable. After some testing and observing they went right to work replacing a leaking garbage disposal unit; and completed the task in a very short time, including after installation testing. They were a little high priced; but it was a Friday night; and they worked efficiently to fix a leaking kitchen sink."

"Woke up Friday morning with no hot water. Called Hill Plumbing Co and they were able send a technician before lunch. The technician was polite and even wore shoe covers over his boots. He said he could change out the elements but would would recommend changing the water heater due the water heater was over 20years old and was showing signs of rust along the bottom of the tank. By 2:00 pm I had hot water with my new water heater. The technician was very knowledgeable and truly appreciate his recommendation because when he removed my old water heater the bottom was covered in rust. To top it off he discounted me 10% because my wife teaches at Alice Drive Elementary.

"I’ve worked with Delbert on multiple property evaluations, and he has been an invaluable part of my due diligence process. He is thorough, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable about local soils and septic requirements. He takes the time to dig proper test pits, clearly explain what he’s seeing in the soil profile, and provide practical guidance on potential system feasibility. His insight has helped me confidently move forward on good properties. If you are purchasing land and need someone who understands both soil science and real-world septic approval standards, I highly recommend him."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

It is not recommended to drill into asbestos siding because doing so can release hazardous asbestos fibers into the air. The safest way to handle asbestos-containing materials is to have a professional remove or encapsulate them.

Knob and tube wiring is an older type of electrical wiring that's no longer used and generally not considered safe. However, some homes still have it, or may have a knob and tube wiring system that was incorrectly modified or rigged to work with a modern electrical system. Knob and tube wiring may contain asbestos insulation, but the only way to know is to have the material professionally tested.

Whether or not to buy a home containing asbestos is ultimately a decision for the homebuyer, and there are several things to consider. When in good condition and contained, asbestos is unlikely to present a health risk—it’s when those tiny fibers are loose and airborne that they become a problem. Consider any renovations you plan on doing to the home that could disturb existing asbestos and the cost of removal. If an inspection finds asbestos in a home on the market, you could negotiate with the seller for a lower price, though this isn’t a sure thing.

Regulations require certified professionals for removals and disposal in compliance with local and federal guidelines, ensuring safety and legality.

If you can locate building records, you may be able simply to see what type of tiles (or bonding agent) was used. Any flooring made between 1950 and 1989 more than likely contains asbestos. Asbestos tiles can also be slightly thicker than other tiles and often measure 9” x 9”, 12” x 12”, and 18” x 18. Black mastic was a commonly used adhesive that contains asbestos.
