There is no guessing with service. Rudy follows up if schedule is hectic, weather, issues, etc. Lawn always looks perfect and he is so polite and helpful with suggestions on how to maintain the yard. I always recommend when asked about lawn services in Sumter. One less thing to worry about...

They are absolutely excellent as a company. I would recommend them to anyone. I have them come out every two weeks to service my lawn. They cut the grass, do all of the edging, pull all of the weeds, trim the bushes, and fertilize and treat the lawn as well.

Whether or not grass will fill in bare spots itself depends on the type of grass you have. For example, grass with rhizomes (e.g., Bermuda grass) and stolons (e.g., Saint Augustine grass) will naturally fill in bald spots as it spreads laterally. However, clump-forming grasses will not spread.

The pros are the precise treatments, such as aeration and fertilization, which protect and prepare your lawn for thriving warmer months.

Before you put down grass seed, you should cultivate your soil or add two inches of topsoil. You should also put down fertilizer at the same time as your seed to prompt healthy growth. Be sure to water after you put down grass seed, especially for the first two weeks.

Don't pick up or dispose of aeration plugs. They will break down by themselves in one or two weeks. Rainfall will speed this up, as will watering the lawn. Mowing helps, but don't mow the grass too soon post-aeration. It's unusual that the plugs would remain after three or four weeks, but mowing and raking will break them down by that point.

If your lawn hasn't been aerated in over a year, or the soil is incredibly compacted, do two passes with the aerator. The first pass should follow your mowing pattern and the second one should form a perpendicular angle relative to the first. Stick to 20 to 40 holes per square foot as a rule of thumb.
