I called this morning and the male in the service department said I had to pay $125.00 for them to fix the self, I thought it was a lifetime guarantee, he said just the material, not the labor and over a recorded line I ask so the labor is not good, he said correct. I like the shower but, the installation is not as it seems in the TV commercial. "

"Communications and scheduling were awful. Took forever and 7 calls to actually get them to send the quote. When I call they say Jorge will call back, he doesn't. Call him, and his voicemailbox is always full. Three times the roofers were scheduled to come and they never showed up, never called. Really regret using them. When the roofer finally showed up, he was a sub contractor that didn't really know what he was supposed to do. Felt bad for him, he had to bring his little boy who just wandered around my back yard while he worked on my roof. The actual work seems fine, it's the whole process of working with them that is awful. Can't figure out who they actually are, Findlay Roofing, Roof Roof, Mighty Dog Roofing? That was probably my first warning flag."

Soapstone countertops can last 20 years or longer with proper maintenance. Unlike other natural stone counters, soapstone is fairly low maintenance, so you should enjoy their decades-long lifespan without many issues.

The best way to protect your quartz countertops is to keep them clean. Promptly wipe any spills and clean with a damp cloth and dish soap as needed. Doing a deeper clean weekly is also recommended. To do this, move small appliances and fruit bowls out of the way and wash the entire surface with a squirt of dish soap on a damp cloth.

Epoxy is the best sealer for concrete countertops. It fills in gaps, rough areas, and imperfections for a smooth finish and will usually last the life of the concrete. Other options include acrylic and polyurethane sealers, which protect the countertops from stains but must be reapplied every few years to maintain proper surface protection.

Countertop seating areas generally need at least 12 inches of overhang. However, a 10-inch overhang may be enough if you have a bar-height countertop or use small stools. Small kitchens may not have enough square footage to comfortably accommodate a 12-inch overhang, so a 10- or 11-inch one may be necessary.

You should use glue and screws when installing butcher block countertops. Opt for a construction adhesive or wood glue applied along the top edge of your base cabinets. For added strength, install support brackets on the base cabinets, then secure your countertop with screws. Make sure you only tighten the screws to the point where the butcher block is snug against the cabinet and don’t overtighten.
