  This is the third time that I have hired Charleston Electric to perform electrical work in my home. Each experience has been great. I have left one review before, so this review will focus on Charleston Electric's most recent service. I contacted Charleston Electric primarily to install recessed lighting in my husband's "man cave". Neither I nor my husband have any experience with recessed lighting. The owner of the company, Robert, came out to my house to discuss the scope of work and provide advice about the number and placement of recessed lights. Robert and I also discussed several other smaller projects that I needed completed. He provided me with a written estimate the same day. Following the initial consultation, I emailed Robert several times for advice regarding the purchase of recessed lights. He always responded promptly and answered all of my questions. He followed up with me two times by phone just to make sure I didn't have any other questions or concerns. When I made a final decision about the recessed lights and other smaller projects, I contacted Robert and the work was scheduled for the following week. Everything went very smoothly with the installation of the recessed lighting, as well as the other smaller projects. I was very happy with the placement of the recessed lights and was pleased that there was no drywall damage during the installation of the lights. Additionally, Robert and his crew made the suggestion that, for safety, we should consider a surge protector on the electrical panel and smoke alarms in all of the upstairs bedrooms. They were by no means pushy with their suggestion. I felt that they were giving us this advice not to make more money, but because they are professional electricians who feel that the safety of their customers is important. After a little consultation, my husband and I agreed to have these things installed. Everything was installed the same day, with no need for a second appointment. We will continue to use Charleston Electric for future electrical needsshow more

  The bottom line is that every part of this deal went flawlessly and I am keeping The Go To Crew on my shortlist of contractors for future projects. I purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List for a landscaping package. The package included five lights, transformer, wiring and installation. The day after I made my purchase I was contacted by Nate to talk about my project and understand what I wanted. After a little discussion Nate realized that I needed a little help making up my mind so he scheduled a time to come out and look at my property for an assessment. Nate showed up on time and was very helpful. My wife and I even walked Nate down the road to a neighbors house to show him an example of what we liked. He helped us to put together a plan for installing our new landscape lighting. All the while Nate was very professional and informative. We finally made up our minds and Nate scheduled a date for the installation with us before he left. The installation took place just a couple weeks after our initial visit. Once again, The Go To Crew was on time. They estimated the installation to take about two hours, three tops. They were done well under two hours. In addition to the work we had discussed, Nate and his crew also wired our existing landscape lights into the new lighting so that everything was on one timer. Once the installation was complete Nate walked me through the new equipment and answered all of my questions. He also told me several times that if I wanted to make any adjustments, he and his crew would come out and assist at no charge. I have to say that I was very impressed with the quality of work and professionalism from The Go To Crew. I grew up in a family of electricians and have a knack for noticing when a crew cuts corners, such as failing to clean up the site when they are done or ignoring cosmetic details. Nate and Mark arrived exactly when promised, provided excellent advice about light placement and installation options. They worked hard for five hours without a break and the result is fantastic, I never imagined how good professionally installed home / landscape lighting could look. We live in an area where virtually every home has professionally installed lighting but I can honestly say ours is the best looking of all and it is all due to the great work of Nate and Mark and to the high quality components that they use. They offer a full guarantee on their work and they even came back after dark to adjust the lights to be sure that they were just right. They offered to come back, free of charge, in a month to make any adjustments that may be required after our landscape contractor completes work we are having done on our planting beds.   I hired The Go To Crew of Charleston to replace troublesome exterior landscaping lighting on my mother's home. We had a very dissatisfying experience with the lighting installed by a landscape company several years ago and found The Go To Crew on Angie's List. After a consultation visit by Nate of the company, we decided to spend the scarce funds to have the lights replaced with LED fixtures. Nate ensured that the job was completed on the date promised and went beyond expectations to have the job completed with what looks like to me perfection! He even made a return trip to the house at my mother's request to adjust the lighting timer although I asked my mom not to bother him with it because I was sure that I could make the timer adjustment. Nate honored her request without hesitation, complaint or charging her anything for the return visit.
