"Energy Smith is a top rate company: Joe took time to review my concerns, put together a detailed plan and estimate. The crew arrived as scheduled very courteous and went to work sealing leaks preparing for insulation. Installed copper foil where needed, cleaned up attic space. Looks great, already feel difference in room temperature. Great job!! Thanks much."

"Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels."

"It was thrilling. Without the Corley guys’ diagnostic and electrical expertise, the house would probably have burned down. Seriously. This was a bona fide emergency. It was puzzling and difficult for them, and stressful for us — before it was over, I had evacuated the house — and we were making weak jokes about poltergeists and exorcists… but apparently a squirrel had chewed up the Duke Energy line, sending thousands of units of raw electrical power into the house! ????? Afterwards, I needed a vacation somewhere — anywhere — quiet… but thanks to Corley, we have a house, new wires, and are (relatively) sane. Thanks again, Corley crew! ❤️❤️❤️"

"Arrived on time, Ryan and Danny took the time to understand what needed to be done, verified in the oven manual for specs for hookup, and ran the replacement circuit. Outlets took a little more time due to house wiring (not their fault) but never felt rushed. Great job.

"I got proposals from 3 other contractors, all had very similar higher cost approaches.  One of these contractors has been maintaining my system for years.  Energy Sharks is different,
Phil is special, he has a technical skill and product knowledge to specify the right equipment to meet our needs that exceeded our expectations.  He is a master at understanding where to spend our dollars to get the most benefit.  Costly features that sound good but have little payback are vetted by Phil.  He knows.  He even thoughtfully considered how to maximize our Energy rebates and tax credits by selecting the right eligible products ($950).
The workmanship of the installation was Excellent.  Danny arrived on time and completed in the time period (less than 1 day) during the one of the coldest days of the year.  The system works great and I could not be more pleased.
Thanks for a Great Job!

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

Modern windows provide enhanced UV protection, improved heat retention, and cooling efficiency, contributing to overall household energy savings.

Yes, a dirty air filter can cause a higher electric bill. That’s because clogged filters make it harder for air to flow through your HVAC system, which forces it to work harder and use more energy. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, replacing dirty filters can save you between 5% and 15% in utility costs.

Wood windows fall in the middle of the window frame materials when it comes to energy efficiency. They’re more insulating than aluminum and vinyl, but they aren’t as efficient as fiberglass or composite frames. If you love the look and lifespan of wood windows and want to maximize efficiency, you can upgrade to double-pane or triple-pane glass and consider window tinting and low-emissivity (low-E) coatings to minimize heat transfer.

Leaving lights on raises the electric bill, but not as much as having high-wattage light bulbs. The best way to save on electric costs is to swap your light bulbs to LED or CFL bulbs that use far fewer watts. You can also use smart lights and light switches to control usage via a smartphone or voice-controlled device.

There are several strategic ways to lower your home insurance premium. The primary one is to shop around and get quotes every few years to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Also, sometimes bundling your auto and homeowner’s insurance will get you a discount on both. Finally, try to keep your credit score up; many homeowner insurance companies use credit scores to generate quotes.
