"Nick built a beautiful porch at our house overlooking the marsh. It replaced an old wood porch, and is really much nicer, as an aluminum porch enables a more complete view. Nick is highly skilled, moves the project along quickly, and can do multiple complex tasks. His bid was very reasonable and he is not the type to nickel and dime you once the job commences."

"We were impressed by the quick response after using Angi.com. The representative came to our house, without charge, and reviewed our bathroom shower leaks, and gave us several options. He didn't pressure us. It was pleasant."

"Andrew is truly amazing! He is kind, professional, and truly wants to do right by his customers. He replaced our 70+ year old outdoor faucet as it had been leaking and causing higher water bills. He also took a look at our toilet which has been running periodically. He was able to swap out the flapper for us for a quick fix for now but kindly counseled us on whether we should consider replacing the toilet altogether due to the weak flush. I look forward to hiring Andrew in the future and I would not hesitate to recommend him."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Options include alcove, freestanding, clawfoot, or whirlpool tubs for various preferences.

A professional bathtub installation or replacement typically takes one to three days, depending on the project's complexity and any necessary alterations. If you hire a professional, most replacements can be completed in one to three days. However, if you choose the DIY route, the process could take up to a month, as it involves removing the old tub and drywall, installing the new tub, repairing the drywall, and installing new tiling.

Roman tubs are very different from ordinary tubs. A Roman tub is typically deeper and broader than a traditional tub, and it's often installed on a custom platform with the faucet positioned on the deck rather than on the wall. Ordinary tubs are more shallow and usually feature built-in shower options

An alcove tub is designed to fit into a three-walled enclosure in a bathroom. A drop-in tub, on the other hand, is placed into a custom-built frame or enclosure. This frame can be fitted to an alcove, making a drop-in tub a viable alternative if you want a more custom or spa-like look. Because the frame is custom, drop-in tubs offer more design flexibility and a wider range of materials, such as cultured marble or tile, compared to the simpler acrylic or fiberglass of a typical alcove tub. The frame for a drop-in tub can also be placed anywhere in the bathroom it fits, not just in an alcove.

If you don’t caulk your bathtub, then there won’t be a watertight seal between your bathtub and the wall tile surrounding it. As a result, water can seep into the wall and the floor and cause the perfect breeding grounds for mold and mildew. Not only does this require costly repairs, but mold can be harmful to those breathing it.
