Customers say: True professional

"I had an unusual situation where I had 10 pallets of sod delivered but the contractors who were supposed to install the sod were a "no show" and their phone lines were no longer operable. I looked for a company who would be willing to do the job if the contractors did not show up today. Jose called me and he and his crew were willing to jump on my project if the contractor was a "no show" again today. As it turned out the original contractor did show up and did the work so I did not have a need for Affordable Landscaping after all. But, I wanted to leave a 5 star review based solely on my conversation with Jose and his willingness to help me out in a bind. Character is something I consider very important in a person and Jose is a person of good character. I will definitely use them in the future. Very dependable."

"The Field Inspector identified my problem, explained it so I could easily understand, and repaired it swiftly. He checked on the jacks I previously had installed by Mount Valley Foundation Services and confirmed they were still working as intended. He provided me with a follow-up email report that included pictures of the problem and of my jacks, a detailed estimate that identified ways to prevent this from happening in the future, plus offered a reasonable upgrade option. He even identified incomplete work completed by another vendor. Jason Haskew did a great job ð"

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, most installation services include the removal and disposal of old doors, which can include storm doors. It is best to confirm the specifics with your provider or installer.

A screen door needs at least two hinges, though most have three or four hinges. The amount of hinges depends on the weight and size of the door. The heavier your door, the more hinges it will need for support. Exterior doors, which are sturdier than interior doors, have the most hinges.

The extra insulation helps reduce energy costs by minimizing drafts and temperature exchange between indoors and outdoors.

You can determine what size storm door you need by measuring for the storm door. Take the width at the top, middle, and bottom of either your front door or an existing storm door, then measure the height on the left, center, and right of the door. Buy a storm door that matches your measurements' smallest width and shortest height.

Some storm doors might need two closers, depending on the weather conditions in the area. For example, if it’s particularly windy where you live, installing two storm door closers (instead of one) can prevent your door from slamming shut when it’s propped open. You can place one at the top of your door and another at the bottom.
