Customers say: Quick response

"Trey went above and beyond to help with my grading and water pooling issue. The one and a half day project turned into a three and a half day project due to issues unforeseen. Mother nature wasn't on our side as well. He worked with me and did what he said he would do. I couldn't ask for more than that. I look forward to working with him on my future projects. Thanks Trey!!"

"Be prepared that while it is not inexpensive, the job is completed correctly and looks like it will hold up. They had to dig out the old and replaced with much deeper hole and this one has a lining. This is a 2 level water fall and stone looks great with color of house and surrounding area. This was all completed by hand no machine digging as there was not space. Thank you, Garden of Eva."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

The easier way to find buried sprinkler lines is to use the plan from the professionals who installed the system. If you don’t have professional plans, listen for running water on your lawn when you turn on the system. You may also spot wet areas, giving you an idea of where the heads are. Once you find the sprinkler heads, you’ll likely be able to connect the dots between them, revealing the system below.

Above ground pools are not buried in the ground. Typically, above ground pools are semi-permanent. One reason they’re more affordable is that you don’t have to dig for an inground pool and pour concrete or another material. However, you can choose to install a semi inground pool, which is a hybrid between the two.

Yes, you can install a trench drain if you already have concrete in your yard or garden. While it can complicate some aspects of the job and slightly run up the cost, it is doable. Residential trench drains can be easily retrofitted to outdoor areas with concrete without having to remove excessive amounts of your patio, pool area, or decorative walkways.

You can dig 60 to 80 linear feet by hand per day depending on the depth. Digging a 100-foot trench by hand will take you two work days, but it can take longer if you have heavy or rocky soil. If you’re digging a deep trench or one that’s over 100 feet, consider renting a mechanical trencher, such as a walk-behind or ride-on, or calling a pro for help.

Yes, trenchers can go through gravel. Gravel is made up of smaller, softer rocks that certain trenchers are able to cut through. Just be sure to use a rock wheel trencher or chain trencher, both of which are made to cut through rocky landscapes and gravel pathways without dulling the teeth or chain.
