Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "As head of our village landscaping committee, I have been using Earthsystems for repairs of our irrigation when I am unable to repair the bigger issues. Wyatt is very responsive and will go over and above expectations. He has a good crew of courteous workers and gets the job done. He gets quite busy in the summertime, so it may take an extended time for him to address some of the larger issues, but usually can troubleshoot problems and advise me. I highly recommend him and his company."

"Mr. Brown removed and installed my patio, driveway and put in an additional side driveway for me. He and his team were very knowledgeable, professional and very efficient. Customers say: Quick response

"I would give Lenz Masonry 6 stars if that was an option! We hired Sal, owner of Lenz Masonry to install a tabby driveway with brick ribbons as well as leveling the driveway and building a retaining wall. Sal and his wife Rosie are true professionals who are perfectionists and extremely knowledgeable in their trade. These traits gave us a great deal of confidence in Lenz Masonry. Either Sal or Rosie were on site at all times. The entire crew were hard workers, polite, and conscientious. The project was completed on time and we are EXTREMELY SATISFIED! Look no further this is the company you need to hire."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

With proper maintenance, asphalt milling driveways can last 30 years or more. Over time, you’ll need to regularly sealcoat your driveway. You should also have your driveway inspected every few years and make any repairs as soon as they are necessary; this will prolong the lifespan of your driveway.

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

Gravel is one of the few driveway materials that can handle rain the second it’s installed. Unlike asphalt, which needs days to set, or concrete, which requires weeks to cure, gravel is ready as soon as it’s compacted. It’s naturally permeable, allowing water to drain straight through—with no risk of pooling or surface damage. Gravel driveways are one of the most affordable, at $1 to $3 per square foot, and can also last upward of 100 years.

Costs range from $3 to $7 per square foot, depending on the area size and project scope.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.
