"GPS IS AWESOME. From intial Consult with Carson, who explained all the highlights of their 40 yrs gutter system. Then followup by Jerry before and after gutter system was installed, he really wanted to make sure we were 100% happy with the gutter system. Im happy with Chris & Tony workmanship and installation. Also, Chris walked me around before making sure of which way I wanted the downspouts going. And then afterwards, he walked me around to check out guttering. The whole crew is totally awesome and very thorough. Thank y'all, Jerry. Carson, Chris and Tony. I highly recommend GPS. I'm a very happy customer, Wanda Widner-Allen"

"There were 2 installers, they arrived on time, I was working that day so they called me when they finished the job (approx in 5 hrs) so I came home to pay them by check. I understand that I have a lifetime warranty on these gutters & transferable should I move."

"They came out for a very small jog, which I felt was very thoughtful of them. They prompt, professional and "kept their word". After finishing the job, they said if I had further problems to given them a call back and they would wok on the leak, again. They kept their word!!!They repair the leak for the second and hopefully last at no further charge. Good business men. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs gutter repair or replacement. Good hones people!"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

On average, gutters need to be replaced every 20 years. Unprotected gutters in more extreme weather conditions are more prone to breaking and may need to be replaced sooner. Meanwhile, proper maintenance can extend your gutter’s life span even further. That said, proper installation, gutter hangers to provide additional support, and gutter guards or helmets all play an important role in how long your gutters last.

How long hangers last will depend on what gutter material they’re made from, but generally you can expect to get at least 10 to 15 years from them no matter what they’re made from. But don’t wait for them to break to give them a checkup. Inspect this part of your gutters on a yearly basis, and make repairs at the first sight of damage.

Icicles don't necessarily mean your gutters are clogged or bad, but they can indicate an underlying issue. While clogged gutters can cause icicles to form, the problem could also be an ice dam on your roof from poor insulation. In that case, melting snow can refreeze in the gutter even without a clog. Regardless of the cause, the weight of the ice can damage your gutters or even rip them completely off the house. If you are unsure of the underlying problem, it's best to call a roofing company to assess the issue and implement a permanent solution.

Sagging gutters stress your downspout, so have your gutters fixed before you secure your downspout.

The gutter gauge is a measurement of the thickness of the gutter material. If you have gutters that are too thick and heavy for the screws and brackets holding them in place, they may sag. Materials that are too thin could suffer damage that leads to sagging. A professional gutter installer can ensure you have the right gutter gauge.
