"Jeff and Ryan did my remodel project with west shore home. They were quick, efficient, and very respectful to our home. My wife and I even made a last minute change from a bath tub to a shower and they helped us without any issues. They were amazing."

"I was told that the work would take about 4 hours. They were supposed to be here at 10 am. They arrived at 11 & did not call. I texted the office & found out that they had left at 9. The person who gave the quote & the person doing the install did not communicate very well. We have a slide in stove which he was not prepared for. He was unaware of a change in one bath that I had discussed with the one who gave the quote. One section of the kitchen granite was cut incorrectly & the work could not be completed that day. Installer said he would be here early as he needed to be somewhere at 12. We told him we needed to somewhere at 1 also. At 11, I again contacted the office as had not heard from anyone. He arrived at 11:15. The plumber was supposed to come at 3 to reconnect the faucets, but nothing was ready by the then, so had to postpone that. Thank goodness the plumber was very flexible. He was here on Sat evening & did a great job. The countertops look great. We had a small problem with the bathroom sinks and they promptly took care of that."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

When it comes to cleaning bathrooms, bleach usually comes to mind. But like ammonia, bleach can damage acrylic tubs. In fact, many tub manufacturers warn against using bleach on acrylic bathtubs, and doing so could void the warranty on your tub. Again, a gentler cleaner specifically made for acrylic tubs, or one of the homemade methods listed above, is your better bet here.

Yes, you can absolutely remove rust from a bathtub drain, and doing so can improve the appearance of your tub. Combine three parts baking soda with one part vinegar and mix into a paste. Apply the paste over the drain and let it sit for about an hour before rinsing with cold water. Repeat the process if some rust stains remain. If the stains return, consider installing a water softener, as ongoing issues with bathtub drain rust usually indicate hard water.

Rust should be pretty easy to identify in your bathtub, as it has a dark red, brownish color, and it sits on the surface of the porcelain. It usually appears around metal fixtures, like under your tub spout or shower head, and you might also find it under metal shaving cream cans or razors that you leave sitting on the tub or a shower shelf.

It is best to wear a respirator during the sanding, painting, and sealing process. It can filter particles, vapors, and fumes that can be toxic to breathe. So it’s better to be safe and protect your lungs during this project.

Resurfacing a tub is worth it if there are just a few dings, scratches, or chips. Expect to pay about $330 to $630 to refinish a tub. You can restore your tub to looking brand new for less money than replacing the tub. But you're better off replacing old bathtubs with heavy damage, mold, or other major issues.
