Small jobs welcome

"Brett and Shana are wonderful! They cleaned our windows in and out and did a fantastic job. They also blew off our roof and cleaned out our gutters and downspouts. They are professional, considerate, thorough and fair in price. We will definitely use them from now on for all our maintenance needs!"

My names Cayden Shadoan, I’m 23 years old. I have a beautiful wife and daughter. I have a full time job as a pipe welder in Sumter South Carolina. I’m on here just looking to pick up a couple extra jobs here and there in hopes of starting my own business one day to be able to stay home with my family more. I can do pretty much anything that needs done in or around your house. Specializing in building fences or repairing fences, any kind of piping jobs, or any welding. Thank you for considering me to help you get what you need done. Hope to see you soon.

We could not be more pleased.  The expansive crack in the ceiling peak in kitchen had been repaired in the past by other painters but we continued to have the separating problem.  Jimmy's painters feel with the materials they used, as opposed to what had been used in the past, our problem may be solved.  Because our home has 12 ft. ceilings & open floor plan, they flow from kitchen/breakfast area into the family room and front entry. We were afraid the whole ceiling would have to be repainted but they were able to match the paint perfectly!

Jimmy Zeski's crew of five started at 8:00 a.m... and did not leave until after 5:00 p.m.  After instructions from Jimmy on what needed to be done, they began work immediately, taking only 1/2 hour for lunch.  Jimmy returned several times to check on their progress.  His crew was all very friendly, professional and hardworking and they were very kind to our two little dogs that were confused and spooked by the whole process!  The clean-up was thorough and they insisted on returning rugs and furniture back to where they had been rather than leaving that for us to do.

It was a nice experience and we would definitely use him for any of our future painting needs!  He is highly recommended!

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Decks require several inspections during and after the building process, but the specifics vary depending on where you live. Most areas mandate that decks comply with local building codes and safety regulations for the foundation, framing, and structure. Some pros recommend a footing inspection, which verifies the depth, width, and location of the various footings to ensure they offer enough foundational support.

When building a deck, #2 grade lumber is a go-to for several reasons. It’s strong, budget-friendly, and works well for most framing and decking needs. But upgrading to #1 or Appearance Grade can give your deck that extra visual edge if you're after a cleaner, more polished look for high-visibility spots.

The problems with composite decking include a high rate of expansion and contraction from temperature swings. This characteristic can cause boards to split, delaminate, or peel. In addition, significant movement can cause shrinking, warping, twisting, and bending. For this reason, you should minimize moisture and ensure proper airflow below your deck.

Rotting wood, loose railings, or unstable stairs may indicate a need for expertise.

You typically don’t need a railing and handrails on a deck that’s less than 30 inches from the ground. However, consider adding them regardless. Railings provide additional safety for you and your guests who use your deck—plus, railings give the deck a more finished look than it would have without them.
