Here at Maranatha Home & Assemblies no job is to big or to small. We do work from Assembling indoor and outdoor furniture and even exercise equipment. we do installations of lights, ceiling fans, shelving, vanities, faucets, etc. Repairs are also up our alley. anything from damaged drywall, garbage disposals. Lastly we build as well. things like pergolas, sheds, kids play sets, and swing sets, etc.

"Initially, the water company detected a leak on my plumbing, so I hired a professional to come and check it. When he came, he smelled gas in my house, he then said that he did not feel comfortable coming in, so I opened the windows to let the air out. He checked the stove and said there was no gas regulator on it and it did not have a yellow gas whip line. It's not up to code, not up to standard. I then called him back to fix it and he tried to charge me another $125 service charge. I told him I was not gonna pay him to fix his mistake. We went back in forth and then he's asking me what he needs to make it work. When he agreed to comeback, finally, on Christmas Eve, he was three hours late, no phone call, no nothing. Asked me to be here early, I did that coming out from Myrtle Beach. But when he turned the gas off and turned it back on, it did not like the pilot and it filled my house with gas yet again. And he was just rude as anyone can be. I stand by my statement and I have the texts to back it all up."

Mathis Plumbing & Heating Co has been providing high-quality plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services to in the Greenwood area since 1952. We're proud to be a family-owned and operated business, and to have been serving our community for decades. Whether you need plumbing, heating, or air conditioning services, you can always rely on us for work that you can trust.

"Technician quoted extremely high price for very simple job and said he would reduce price if he could at end of job.$579.00 for approx. 2 1/2 hrs including approx. $30.00 parts. Went to business location to inquire about labor charge per hour and was refused any info. Was given $65.00 credit on my bill but feel that their business practices are predatory based on what they feel the customer can afford."

"Excellent as noted below: I contacted Waldrop on 7/20/2020 to assess some recurring issues/problems with my central heating/AC systems which were installed in 2003 and serviced by another Heating/AC Company over the past 17 years. Josh C was dispatched to my home very quickly and completed an assessment. I gave him some background on the issues that both systems had experienced over the years (I.E. leaks, replaced compressor, replaced capacitor, replaced thermostat, numerous purchases of refrigerant, etc) and that I was contemplating replacing both systems at this point rather than continue to feed money into fixing the old systems. That said, Josh C completed his assessment by expending several hours looking at both systems and noted that the R-22 coils on both were bad and had indication of refrigerant leakage. Both sets of coils were in need of replacement which would be expensive, so I finalized my decision at that time to replace both systems. Josh C then called for a Waldrop Consultant to be dispatched to my home to discuss options for replacing my old systems. Within a short timeframe, Charlie arrived and did his assessment, consulted with Josh C and we discussed replacement options, financing & scheduling. This was followed with Charlie scheduling the replacement to take place the following day on 7/21/2020. He indicated that 2 teams consisting of (Donnie, Joey, Getty, Steve, Aron, Charlie and Josh C) would be arriving around 8am to complete the replacement project. One team handled replacing the upstairs system and the other team handled the downstairs system. The teams arrived on schedule and their technical skills, professionalism and customer friendliness were awesome. They worked with such precision and completed the replacement of both systems before 3pm! They made sure that the systems were operating perfectly (both heating & cooling) and provided me with a clear overview of using the new hi-tech thermostats. They were very meticulous in making sure that they protected my hardwood flooring by covering the entire path in and out of my home with rug runners, all of the old system components were hauled away and I am thrilled and completely satisfied with the quality and speed of their work. Thanks so much to everyone who worked on this project. Lastly, Charlie made a follow-up call to me on 7/22/2020 checking in to make sure everything was ok. I thanked him again for the superb services rendered by him and the Waldrop team and noted that I will be utilizing Waldrop services in the near future to replace & upgrade my water heater(s). Charlie offered to reach out to someone in his office to contact me regarding the replacement of my water heater(s). Looking forward to getting this new project started as soon as possible. Thanks & stay safe."

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

The cost to convert a wood fireplace to gas ranges from $500 to $5,500 on average, with most people paying $3,000 for a conversion. Both wood and gas fireplaces have pros and cons—gas fireplaces are easier to clean and maintain, while fires in wood-burning fireplaces are especially warm and cozy.

Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.

In some cases, the answer is yes. Being licensed to work on gas lines requires additional specialized training beyond being a licensed plumber. If the plumber is also licensed as a natural gas plumber, they will be able work on natural gas lines. If the plumber is only licensed to work on water and sewer lines, then you’ll have to find another professional to do gas line work.

Gas fireplaces use either natural gas or propane—both of which will increase your energy expenses. On average, running a gas fireplace costs $400 to $640 per year; however, these costs can vary significantly depending on the fuel price in your area and the frequency of fireplace use. If you’re looking for a more energy-efficient option, consider switching to an electric fireplace.

It’s possible to convert an electric dryer to a gas dryer, but it’s not practical or cost-effective. A pro would need to remove specific components from your electric unit and install parts unique to gas dryers. Rather than going through this time-consuming process, you can remove your old electric dryer and have a pro install a new gas dryer.
