and they had a technician come out, which confirmed it was their fault. We asked for a manager to call us. We have been completely unable to get any call back from any leadership. We have been told multiple dates in the supposed repair. As of today, it’s set to be two weeks of no AC for my pregnant wife. Worse yet, we have had to spend $2000 on portable AC/fans/dehumidifer. We initially simply asked for compensation towards the “repair” but couldn’t get any response. We have had damage to the drywall, windows, etc. as a result of the humidity. Waldrop literally blocked us on Facebook instead of responding to our issues.

When I called Waldrop, I was told they could have someone at my house in an hour. Shortly thereafter, Ryan called to advise that he was on his way. He was very professional, accommodating and considerate. I could not have been more pleased with his work. Upon completion, he checked every detail several times to make sure everything was in working order.

My mother spent $16,000 for a new unit about a month ago. Her unit previously was 17 years old and only reason replaced was because of crack in heating unit. She has a small 2 story home and the older unit did great cooling and heating up and downstairs. I was not happy about the quote as I just paid this much for two units, but mom is older and knows everything ?‍♀️? the unit is not cooling upstairs at all! My mom has called and they came out and looked. Said something about the duct unit. Said he would brain storm and get back with her. After she has called for 2 weeks he has still not called her back. I am visiting the air is not coming out of vents upstairs and the thermostat has an error message and I can’t see what temp is or what it’s set on. She will call back tomorrow. If they don’t call her and rectify this we will get in touch with our lawyer. He asked when he was here if she slept downstairs. It shouldn’t matter it needs to work just as well as the older unit did. Better get a call!!

Although we were naturally unhappy with having to replace a gas furnace and an AC unit, we were very happy that we called Waldrop! Everyone was professional, on time, friendly, clean, and efficient. A big shout-out to Getty, Parker, Paris, Jay, Matt, and Kyle. And it was an easy experience working with Josh, our salesperson. I was comfortable with everyone and believe that we received a quality product and service for the price. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for!

IF I COULD LEAVE A 0-STAR REVEW I WOULD. I WAS CONVICED I NEEDED A NEW SYSTEM 1 YEAR AGO AND PAID ABOUT $25K. IT HAS BEEN SERVICED NOW 4 TIMES AND YET AGAIN TODAY IS NOT WORKING. EVERY TIME THEY COME OUT THEY TRY TO CHARGE ME EVEN THOUGH IT IS UNDER WARRENTY AND HAS NOT MADE IT THROUGH EVEN 1 SEASON WITHOUT REPAIR. THEY ARE TERRIBLE.... I WANT A FULL REPLACEMENT OR REFUD BUT NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK EVER. BUYER BEWARE. I WILL BE FILING A SUITE IN COURT IF THIS IS NOT CORRECTED. THE PART IS LAST SERCIVE CALL FOR O HEAT WAS JUST LAST WEEK AND HE ACTUALLY WROTE UP A WORK ORDER FOR SYSTEM ENHANCEMENTS $415..REALLY BUYER BEWARE

What was supposed to be a contracted routine maintenance call turned into a nightmare. The service technician came, inspected, then had a salesman to come out. My understanding was that I would be given a quotation for replacing a duct to one system. Instead, the salesman gave me a quotation for a whole new unit on a different system. Over the next 2 hours, both systems continued to run, but were not cooling. The whole house was sweltering. I called Waldrop and was told someone could come out the next day. I was not pleased with that! I investigated and found that the power to both outside units had been turned off. I don’t know which of the Waldrop representatives did this. I also don’t know if it was incompetence, negligence, or deliberate. Regardless, I have asked for a refund on the remainder of my service contract and will find another company.

Excellent as noted below: I contacted Waldrop on 7/20/2020 to assess some recurring issues/problems with my central heating/AC systems which were installed in 2003 and serviced by another Heating/AC Company over the past 17 years. Josh C was dispatched to my home very quickly and completed an assessment. I gave him some background on the issues that both systems had experienced over the years (I.E. leaks, replaced compressor, replaced capacitor, replaced thermostat, numerous purchases of refrigerant, etc) and that I was contemplating replacing both systems at this point rather than continue to feed money into fixing the old systems. That said, Josh C completed his assessment by expending several hours looking at both systems and noted that the R-22 coils on both were bad and had indication of refrigerant leakage. Both sets of coils were in need of replacement which would be expensive, so I finalized my decision at that time to replace both systems. Josh C then called for a Waldrop Consultant to be dispatched to my home to discuss options for replacing my old systems. Within a short timeframe, Charlie arrived and did his assessment, consulted with Josh C and we discussed replacement options, financing & scheduling. This was followed with Charlie scheduling the replacement to take place the following day on 7/21/2020. He indicated that 2 teams consisting of (Donnie, Joey, Getty, Steve, Aron, Charlie and Josh C) would be arriving around 8am to complete the replacement project. One team handled replacing the upstairs system and the other team handled the downstairs system. The teams arrived on schedule and their technical skills, professionalism and customer friendliness were awesome. They worked with such precision and completed the replacement of both systems before 3pm! They made sure that the systems were operating perfectly (both heating & cooling) and provided me with a clear overview of using the new hi-tech thermostats. They were very meticulous in making sure that they protected my hardwood flooring by covering the entire path in and out of my home with rug runners, all of the old system components were hauled away and I am thrilled and completely satisfied with the quality and speed of their work. Thanks so much to everyone who worked on this project. Lastly, Charlie made a follow-up call to me on 7/22/2020 checking in to make sure everything was ok. I thanked him again for the superb services rendered by him and the Waldrop team and noted that I will be utilizing Waldrop services in the near future to replace & upgrade my water heater(s). Charlie offered to reach out to someone in his office to contact me regarding the replacement of my water heater(s). Looking forward to getting this new project started as soon as possible. Thanks & stay safe.

First I wanted to specify that the grade for Professionalism is for the technician and not for Waldrop management. I was waiting for a response from Mr. Caldwell, President and CEO of Waldrop, before entering my review. Waldrop Heating has been the worst business that we have worked with since moving to the Upstate 4 years ago. My review includes a copy of the letter that we sent to Mr. Caldwell at Waldrop with the issues we had with our scheduled maintenance service visit. In our letter, I stated that I called to find out where the technician was since he was supposed to be at our house within five minutes and I never received a call from him. They told me he called and was told to call my mother about being late for the service call. I stated that they called the wrong phone number and that my mother has been dead for 11 years. Mr. Caldwell’s letter to us states that they are sorry about the issues with the service work on my mother’s unit. Obviously he did not thoroughly read our letter. Secondly we asked about the credit that the VP was suppose to offer us for the issues that we had with Waldrop since purchasing the service agreement through Angie’s List. Mr. Caldwell did not respond to this issue and hoped that the restaurant gift card would help ease the problems we had with Waldrop. First we had to follow up twice with Mr. Kind, Service Manager, to find out the status of the restaurant gift card and secondly Mr. Kind asked what restaurant I wanted the gift card to and he sent us one for a different one. No one at Waldrop seems to listen to the customer. We will be asking Angie’s List for a credit for the service agreement that we purchased through them since we will not be using the second part of the agreement that we purchased. My Letter to Mr. Caldwell: Dear Mr. Caldwell, I would like to detail our experience working with Waldrop and see if this is what customers should expect when dealing with your company. On November 12th at 3:25 p.m. I purchased a service agreement through Angie’s List and then sent an email to Waldrop from the Angie’s List website asking if I could schedule an appointment for Friday November 17th around 10:00 a.m. and listed both my home and cell phone number. On Monday November 13th around 1:30 p.m. I had not received a call from your company so I called and made an appointment for November 17th between 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.. At 1:55 p.m. on the 17th I had still not received a call stating when the technician would be out. I called Waldrop and was told that the technician called the number and was told he would have to call my mother. I explained that would be hard since she has been dead for 11 years. She stated that they must have the wrong number and that she would get a technician out as soon as possible. The technician arrived around 2:50 p.m. While performing the preventive maintenance he found a defective TXV. We were told that one would have to be ordered and would take 2-3 days. Since he was late and by the time the problem was found it was too late to order the part that Friday, and we were going on vacation the following Wednesday for Thanksgiving, we paid $50.00 to ship the part next day air. Was stated that it should arrive on Tuesday and that he could put the part in then. On Tuesday November 14th at 11:00 a.m., we had not received a call yet so I called in to find out the status of the part. I was told that the part should be in in the afternoon and I asked why is was not ordered as a next day air a/m delivery. It would not do any good coming in by the afternoon when it takes 4-5 hours to replace the TXV. She stated that she would check into it and get back to me. I asked for the service manager to please call me and she stated that he was at lunch but would have him call me. About 20 minutes later I received a call stating that the part was delivered in the morning but no one checked it in. She was sorry for the mistake and would have the service manager still call me. At 4:00 p.m. I still had not received a call from the service manager so I called back and told the receptionist to tell the service manager that he did not have to call me back since I had already waited over 4 hours for a call. About 20 minutes later Charlie Kind called me and stated that he was sorry that the service manager did not call me back because he was in the field doing training and was not informed that he was to call me. In speaking with Mr. Kind, he stated that he was sorry for customer service issues on their part and asked me what our favorite restaurant was because he wanted to send us a gift card immediately to make up for the lack of service and also that the VP of Waldrop wanted to do something else for us but he was not sure what that was but that I would be contacted about it. Also, we were supposed to be credited the $50.00 we paid for the next day air shipping. The service was completed November 30th . The only good part of this experience was the technician, Scott Hawkins. Scott explained the problem with the heat pump and performed the service to our satisfaction. One issue we do not understand is that when Scott came out he was not given the part. Scott arrived at our house at 9:30 and the part arrived at 11:00. Since Waldrop had the part for 9 days why wasn’t it given to the technician when he came out to do the service? I feel that two weeks since I first spoke with Mr. Kind is plenty of time to decide an appropriate compensation for our inconvenience and to receive the restaurant gift card. I called Mr. Kind on Wednesday, December 6th at 3:57 pm and was told that we was in a meeting and was asked if I would like leave a voicemail message so I did. I detailed my frustration with Waldrop and that we have not received a call back yet to discuss what the VP was going to do for us about the service issues and that we did not receive the gift card yet. I never received a call back from that voicemail. I have one more preventive maintenance to schedule but after this experience I do not plan to use your company again. I am also going to request a credit for the $165.00 paid to Angie’s List for the service agreement that we purchased. I feel that we have not received acceptable service from Waldrop and should not have to pay for an agreement when we are not going to use the second part of the service agreement. Also, please have our account reviewed since Scott could not take the $50.00 off the bill as that charge was locked and he could not delete it.

Our downstairs AC quit working with the fan running but the condenser not running. I called Waldrop for a service call, and was told that they would be able to get a technician out the same day, but couldn't give me a time. In less than an hour, they called back and told me that a technician would arrive within an hour. The technician arrived shortly after the phone call. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the malfunctioning capacitor within the one hour I was told to expect his arrival.

These guys, I?ve had them out a couple of times. I like them, but they are very pricey. It was like $500 for the guy to put a can of Freon into my unit. He tightened up things that sometimes loosen and makes noise, he threw that in for like the 10 minutes of work that he did. He tightened up everything so it was nice and quiet afterwards.

I really don?t have anything bad to say about them and the air conditioner works great. My biggest thing with them is that they aren?t going to over charge me, but I know it?s not going to be cheap when they show up. I?ve had them out for both of my units and both times were over $500. I am pretty sure I found them on Angie?s List. They are very friendly, courteous and do quality work. Actually, it took the guy all of 10 minutes to do the work and here it will be $502 to put in a can of Freon. I think they are an excellent company, I just think they charge a lot of money. Everything went smoothly, I said if you need us, give us a call. I went with them because I liked their reviews on Angie?s List.

Poorly. They pushed their maintenance plan and offered to discount work with plan. They call and call to set up "maintenance visits" but one has to question the intent. I spent several hundred dollars to fix the problem and it is still not fixed. They will come out again but after 4 shots one has to question either competence or integrity. I realize that there are a lot of moving parts to an AC unit and its problems but after 4 visits I would have expected a solution.
