"Before contract signed Chris agreed to leave a 3 ft perimeter around the build site for drainage, and to move the excavated dirt to specified area. He did neither of these things which caused erosion and cave-in. He compromised our cement driveway by digging under it. He refused to listen to anything I told him I wanted done. He had children onsite (11 yrs old), one of his employees came to work intoxicated, with sandals on and smoked weed onsite. We have pictures. Constantly asking for money. He left his "crew" to finish as soon as we paid final payment. The crew cut the relief joint before the concrete was dry so it has chipped and concrete truck cracked our driveway in multiple places. Chris was supposed to be guiding him. A reputable concrete company inspected the job today, giving us an estimate of $16,500 to fix everything that Chris did wrong, starting with busting out the concrete and starting over. Chris was very arrogant and just would not listen to us and did it his way."

An easy way to cut concrete pavers without a saw is to use a hammer and chisel. You can make a few passes over your paver with a hammer and chisel to make a fissure where you want the paver to break. Once the divot is about 1/8 inch thick, drive the chisel hard into the center of the line to complete the cut without using a saw.

There are a few ways you can save money on concrete disposal, including hiring a company that specializes in the service. While you’ll pay for the labor, professional removal companies can save you money on dumping fees if they can recycle or sell the old concrete. If possible, you can also do your own concrete demolition, which can cut down on labor costs. Paying for haul-away service only, you could save between $1.50 and $5.50 per square foot of concrete instead of paying for demolition and removal.

It’s far more labor-intensive and expensive to demolish a concrete slab before laying down pavers. You’ll need a professional to break up and haul away the concrete, excavate underneath, bring in paver base or crushed gravel, and then level the area with leveling sand before laying the pavers. A new paver patio will cost around $1,000 to $2,000, which is more than laying pavers over a concrete patio, and takes longer to complete.
