"Pinehurst Turf Pros were recommended to me by the makers of the synthetic turf. They were professional from start to finish. I would not hesitate to use them again. The project turned out better than I anticipated."

Customers say: Quick response

"Trees fell on my wooden fence. While talking to the owner Brenda, I asked if they could fix the fence also, which they did. As we talked, I realized they could do pretty much everything. We are getting ready to list our home and needed many things done (big and small). They saved me so much money because I would have had to hire different individuals to clean the chimney, fix fence, paint, etc. Everything they did was to perfection. Brenda cleaned my 28 year old deck and if you had a fork...you could have eaten off of it. It looked bran new. They patched a hole in my garage, built small steps out back door, power washed the house, cleaned out and fix gutters, filled in some cracks in porch and even tightened my shutters, and put new hinges on fence door. Not to mention the 3 huge trees they cut down and made woodchips of for us. Very reasonable and honest. She is there with the guys and they worked non stop. I cannot say enough about this company. This company was by far the best fix it company I have EVER hired."

Small jobs welcome

"We have hired Ryan several times for several jobs and are never disappointed. He has cleared several lots for us, done some tree trimming/bush removal and removed a huge oak tree stump from hurricane Helena which was not an easy job. The stump was still in the ground and was well over 5ft in diameter. He has also done some landscaping for us. He is always communicative, professional, and gets the job done quickly. Would highly recommend."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

The most common alternative is burning the stump first, then dealing with the cinders and ashes. As you can imagine, this option creates fire hazards, especially since roots can burn underground, hidden, for long afterward. That’s why many states and cities have outlawed the use of stump burning entirely. We do not recommend this option as a viable alternative unless you get a permit from the local fire department and practice all safe burning procedures.

Others prefer a more long-term DIY approach of degrading the stump with home mixtures like Epsom salt and vinegar injected directly into it. This may help the stump decay faster, allowing homeowners to dig it out themselves, but it’s still a lengthy process. It usually takes months for a stump to start falling apart with such treatments, and in the meantime, it can be vulnerable to rot, insects, and other problems.

Several tools exist that can help remove unwanted grass. The one you choose depends greatly on how much you need to remove and how hard you'd like to work. A sod or turf cutter is the fastest method while using a shovel is labor-intensive and much slower. You may also need a garden rake, tiller, and wheelbarrow.

Using a truck to remove a bush falls into the category of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” While it is possible to use a truck to pull out a bush, if you don’t have the right equipment, if you’re not familiar with attaching things to your vehicle correctly, or if you don’t have enough room, it’s a risky option. To prevent damage to your vehicle, it’s worth using tools made for the job of digging and cutting roots instead.

No. Unfortunately, leaf removal is your responsibility, no matter what tree the leaves come from. It would be pretty hard to regulate leaves since they can be moved by the wind or water. Imagine the detective skills it would take to determine which tree each leaf came from and who was then liable for removing it. Instead, plan to remove any leaves on your property.

No, it’s not necessary to remove all the leaves from your lawn—in fact, leaving some behind can be beneficial. While it's important to clear thick layers of leaves that can smother your grass, leaving a light scattering of leaves can help feed your soil while also providing safe winter habitat for pollinators like bumble bees. Leftover leaves will eventually break down, enriching the soil and promoting healthy lawn growth.
