He came on Saturday morning to check out the job and give an estimate.  He said he'd be there at 9, he was there at 8:55.  We had to replace a bathroom ceiling fan, which caused damage to the old plaster/wire popcorn finish ceiling. It was a small job but he was fine with that. He was able to schedule the for Monday. He should up again early and set straight to work. He put down drop cloths in the bathroom, prepped the ceiling and started patching it up. He was professional, courteous, friendly and highly knowledgeable. We would highly recommend him and hope to use him again soon for another larger project.

"Nelson and his assistant from New England Plastering and Painting did an outstanding job repairing my ceiling in our living room. They had to remove damaged ceiling that was caused by water/sewerage leak. Then they had to install a large piece of drywall and plaster over it. Nelson and his partner did an awesome job feathering the plaster to make the drywall fit in seamlessly. Another great thing they did was to block off the area (with drop cloths and plastic) they were working in. This kept the work and debris area contained. As a result, no debris and dust went elsewhere. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the work performed by New England Plastering and Painting. I will use them again and I highly recommend them to other potential customers."

"We contacted Steve's Drywall initially for the overlay of our existing ceiling in the kitchen and adjacent hallway as part of our kitchen renovation project.  Steve was quick to respond to my inquiry and stopped to review the scope and got back to me in a few days with an estimate of $1500 to overlay the existing ceiling and finish with an Imperial plaster system which I felt was reasonable.  I told him that I would contact him when the space was available since I had to schedule other work first.  When I called to schedule him, he was involved in a larger project, but he was able to find an opening to fit us in.  
He covered the entire work area with cardboard to protect the floor and covered all of the openings with plastic to minimize dust migration.  He projected 2 days to complete the work and met that schedule.  I was so pleased with his work that I asked him to also overlay some existing tile walls in the kitchen with gypsum board, but I needed to have it done as soon as possible.  He gave me an estimate of $1,000 and said he could do it immediately. Perfect!!
Steve was very professional, communicated well, was focused on minimizing disruption and had the right tools for the work and did an excellent job.  I am a retired architect and have had my experiences with good and bad contractors.  Steve is definitely one of the better ones and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

"We contacted Distinctive Painting because we were having issues painting a ceiling in our house. Turns out the plaster had calcimine and that's why the latex paint wouldn't stick. Mario contacted us back and even though they didn't perform the service, Mario told us exactly what to do and which materials to use to be able to do the job. We were happy to do it (it was only a ceiling...), but his information was crucial. I will also say that I contacted five other painting contractors, left messages, but no other company got back to us. If we ever need a bigger job, we will certainly contact Distinctive Painting!
