Rick grew up in a family of hard working contractors, and has been learning the skills of the trade since a very young age. He brings to the table a high level of expertise that is often hard to come by, and will always take the time to get the job done right.
"Rick was very responsive at first and eager to get started on my bathroom remodel job for one of my apartments. He is commended for having to respond to quote request fast. I decided to give him a chance to do a good job before handing a bigger jobs for my other properties. Before the work started, I emphasized that the dust control and cleanup was very, very important to me. The job involved lots of demolition work inside the apartment - naturally, there will be lots of dust. The apartment is currently occupied and has lots of furniture, computers and audio equipment that I wanted to protect. I thought he and his workers were communicated this request. I even offered the use of dust control fan and Zip Wall to isolate the work area but he said he will be fine without them. Once the job started, I was away for one week to take care of my family. When I returned, I discovered that the door to the adjacent room was left open. That is my office with all the equipment and important papers. They left their construction material and equipment in this room. I was horrified that there are fine dust everywhere - on my printer, computer peripherals, furniture. I brought this issue up with Rick. Nothing happened. The worst part was that the job was declared done and I paid the service in full - They never returned to clean up and pickup the equipment. After almost a whole month, the supply and equipment is still there. I had to spend extra time cleaning up after their mess. Very unprofessional. Lessons learned. Do not pay the balance until all the cleaning is done and all the equipment removed. I expect the clean up and dust control to be a part of the job. I also repeatedly asked or professionally prepared invoices with vendor name and address, job details and the most important of all, the invoice number - all of these essential information is important to keep track of expenses for my projects. The SMS texts message and e-mail messages were not appropriate for this purpose. I explained to Rick that my CPA requires them many times. I even sent him a sample invoice and quote in Microsoft Word template - he never understood what I was asking. He is a nice guy, but not a good project manager or competent business person. The work was done, however, the work quality is fair to good - I had to go back and correct some sloppy work. Lacking attention to details and follow up bothered me. The biggest issues is the lack of clean up and keeping the worksite cleans so he and his crew gets an F. I do not think I will be hiring his company in my future projects."

Affordable Cabinet Refacing
Affordable Cabinet Refacing
No gimmicks. No high pressure. We're not like those other companies, where a slick salesman shows up at your house, gives a three hour presentation, starts his or her quote at double or triple the price it should be, creates bogus discounts, and tries to high-pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. We simply give your our best price up front. No games or high pressure! Our team has installed over 2,000 kitchens since 1989! Regardless of what your kitchen looks like now, we can transform it into a beautiful "after" kitchen for you. By the time we've finished our magic, your cabinets will look just as good (if not better) than new. Not only can they look better, but with the addition of a few inexpensive options they can be much more functional too. Things like roll out shelves and tilt trays make it much more pleasant to work in the kitchen.
"Just do it! If you are reading the reviews, you must be exploring your options. Well, you have FOUND the right company! I know I did. My experience with Affordable Cabinet Refacing was beyond my expectations. From the first phone call to Debra, her thorough and clearly presented email outlining the process to Chuck's informative visit to present (exhuberantly, but not high pressure) my options, I felt very comfortable moving forward. When Shawn arrived to measure (a kitchen initially built over 150 years ago), I was beyond impressed with his meticulous measuring and attention to detail. When Guy and Mike arrived, they were the icing on the cake. Their professional manner, work ethic, and skill transformed the kitchen to the one I dreamt of. Read the other reviews and chuckle at mine, but rest assured, you have FOUND the right company, because the have the highest quality product with an incredible team behind it. In today's world, the right people make all the difference. Kudos to each of them!"

The ideas you gave us for updates, Kevin and the others always arriving on the scheduled dates and times and always quickly handling any “glitches” that happened along the way. Bob and I always felt comfortable with Kevin working in our home, and never hesitated to leave him in our home if we had to leave to run errands. Colleen came to our house at the beginning of the project and she was wonderful as well. The helpers that came with Kevin were also friendly and polite. > So, a big thank you to you and your company for a job well done. Uncle Wayne’s Ceramic Tile and Stone
Uncle Wayne’s Ceramic Tile and Stone
Hi there. Wayne Goodlin here. I welcome you to Uncle Wayne's Profile Page. Allow me to tell you who I am and what I'm about. I'm a semi-retired guy who loves building things. I also love fixing things...and repairing that which is repairable. Bathtub tile walls and walls and floors in showers are nearly all repairable…it’s what I specialize in…the young guys never learned ‘repair’, just wreck out the old and build it new…that’s an option for me, but not the only one. While holding a degree in business management from URI, I have been operating a small home remodeling business for the last thirty years, primarily in building bathrooms. I am fully licensed and Insured. My business has always consisted generally of just myself. Honestly, I prefer doing everything myself if I can…I do all the supporting carpentry for my tile and stonework, that is, sub-flooring, wall building, and countertop preparation…my tile work is expert and some years ago I won an award from The Providence Preservation Society…that was for restoration work in an old and wonderful east side home ! Most of my work, however, has been in average homes, primarily suburban…clean, attractive and affordable.
