"I signed a work agreement and provided a down payment of more than half of the total bill on 5/26 to have a deck created around a pool. There was a lack of communication on their end from the start. I had to reach out every time to see what was going on with my project. They said they could start on 6/9 and did not. Then they said they could start the week of 7/14/25. I again had to reach out because there was no communication and he said they have good and bad news. He said the good news is they have all the materials in for the job, but the bad news is that their supplier sent the wrong decking color. They said the new decking would come in 3-4 weeks. After 3-weeks I reached out again and then I then got a call from David the Owner of Eagle Exteriors. David said they could not do the job anymore and would need to refund my deposit. He then said that he did not have the money to cover the returned deposit and would need 60-90 days to get back my deposit. I'm still waiting."

AEM (Kevin B. in particular) made this not only painless, but even pleasant. We got three bids - Kevin B. from AEM was the only one that bothered to actually visit our house, meet with us and explain the process. The other bids were just emailed in, apparently using some imaging system that let them measure our rooftop. AEMs bid was not the cheapest of the three, but it was absolutely competitive with the other two - and, because of Kevin’s walking us through the process, we felt much more comfortable having them do the project. Communication as we were getting closer to the day was very good (I work at home - so I knew I’d have to take the day off given the noise). There were a few unavoidable weather delays - Kevin always kept me informed. On the actual day, the team was here early - as was Kevin - and the whole process was done in a day. Something really cool - they had to get into our yard through our neighbor’s back yard (with his permission, of course!) - as a gesture, they raked his leaves! They also cleaned our gutters while they were up there doing the roof. After the fact, the cleanup was perfect - our back yard was spotless! Kevin and his colleague also did some great work repairing our soffits.
