"Overall, the finishing of my basement went pretty smooth. The Owens Corning product, drop down ceiling, and flooring are all really sharp. In the beginning everything went fast and smooth with the framing and wall/floor/ceiling install being done within 2 weeks. There were some hiccups with minor imperfections, tv mount in wrong spot, etc. Those were fixed promptly. After that is when I ran into issues with other items in my contract that were not taken care of and the project felt forgot about. Just had some minor electric work, stairs to get carpeted, and didn't receive hanging clips yet. I had to constantly ask about these items and every answer would be "I forgot to ask or send the clips". I eventually got the items completed, but am not happiest that it took almost a month and constant reminding to get these items that should've been scheduled for during the project."

Also during the installation they tried to skip replacing plywood as we’d agreed upon without discussing with us first. Luckily my husband was home and caught the mistake. "He hired Tom Harrop to install kitchen cabinets and a heater under the kitchen sink, vinal flooring, plastering in a small area, add ceiling lighting and a shiplap ceiling. Once the work was done I asked Tom to do a walk through and he refused saying he stood behind his empoyees work. Here are the PROs and CONs. PROs: 1.) work was completed in a timely fashion 2) they did a beautiful job on the shiplap ceiling and lighting. CONs: 1) The brand new white cabinets had some nicks requiring paint touch up. 2) Terrible job on the floors! Uneven spots, lengths are uneven at the edges, gaps showing, no finish work. Terrible job!! 3) plastering looks like it wasn't even done! And there is some peeling of paint on the plaster job. Terrible job!!! 4) we were promised and paid for an under the kitchen sink heater which we never received. Called multiple times with no response. Lesson learned, will never use Tom Harrop again!!"
