"Absolutely a GREAT experience ! If your like me, your concerned about the contractor that your going to hire. Randy (Father/estimator), Chris (Son/owner) and Cory (coworker) do excellent work. Chris always kept me informed of their schedule and work plans. They answered all my questions and also provided options to complete tasks, that would even make things better, than my original ideas. I would hire Randy, Chris and Cory without any hesitation for any future masonry type of work, or for that matter any type of work they perform. I found them to be honest, caring, ethical, friendly and they do A+ work."

"After using basement waterproofing specialist for my French drain installation I was so pleased with their service I called them again when I noticed signs of a possible foundation crack. They accurately identified the issue and determined I had a crack in my foundation. They thoroughly sealed the crack and put multiple layers of membrane to secure the foundation and to ensure no water ever gets through. I would highly recommend!"

"Hired them to inspect and a brick house and suggest repairs. Decided to stucco coat one wall and tuck point various needed spots on the house. Brian, Jake, and Kyle spent nearly two weeks doing the job. They were professional knowledgeable and kept customer service at the forefront of the process. The price was very reasonable and the quality of service was good. Would recommend"

"T&T Masonry did wonderful! The contact was prompt, they started exactly when they said and finished 2 days later only, one because of rain and the second one because of additions that I did to the original design. The outcome is just beautiful. Several neighbors have contacted them while they were working, once they realized how good a job they were doing. The price was fair, considering the quality of stone and flagstone, and it was exactly what they estimated, except for the additions that I requested, that were priced fairly as well. A total success!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

In most cases, painting your brick house is a fine idea that can open up new aesthetic possibilities. However, the paint can slightly shorten the life span of brick, especially if moisture gets trapped underneath the paint layer. Once you paint, you’ll have to keep up with maintenance to avoid flaking and blisters.

Most of the time, you don’t need to seal brickwork and can save that money for another area of home improvement. But if your brick is cracking or you live in an area with a lot of excess moisture (either in terms of rain or freezes), sealing can extend the lifetime of your home. But, make sure you use a breathable sealant, like siloxane, to allow the moisture to evaporate on its own.

You may not need a hammer drill if you’re planning on drilling one or two very small diameter holes in brick. For holes with a diameter of 3/16-inch or less, a regular drill with a masonry bit can do the job. However, the bit will heat up quickly, and the process will take significantly longer than with a hammer drill. Prepare to cool your drill bit down in a bucket of water more often.

The size of your pizza oven will determine the number of bricks necessary to build it. So the bigger your pizza oven, the more fire bricks you’ll need to purchase. Keep in mind that fire bricks cost about $3 each.

Yes. Black stains are more than an eyesore. Some black stains can pose health concerns, especially for those with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory conditions. Some stains can also damage the brick’s structural integrity, harming the mortar and resulting in more expensive repairs.
