Since Brent had already completed a huge tree removal project in July, followed by concrete removal, dirt replacement and leveling and grading of the area along with dirt replacement and grass planting, plus a repair to a damaged basement wall and all the surrounding wood and interior sealing of that wall. We were absolutely thrilled by all the results, we trust Brent and his crew, who are terrific to work with, so we asked him to finish our botched shed project. I really didn't think he would help us out since he did not bid on it to begin with, but he not only completed the project but tore apart unsafe parts, re-enforced poorly done work, and brought the project up to code as much as was possible. The structure was actually previously unsafe and could have destroyed our belongings and or we could have been seriously injured in this structure. He fixed it, made it safe and then documented everything "on paper" and with pictures in the hope we could recoup at least part of the completion cost. Who does this? Only someone with the highest standards and a good heart. All the guys who worked in the middle of a snow storm and over the holidays, We are eternally grateful to you all. Best Christmas gift "EVER". We have thousands of dollars in future projects to be done. In the next phase of our home fix we are having a full gut of 2 back to back bathrooms that will hopefully be done late this year and I have already told Brent they were his jobs. This will be followed by the Kitchen, dining room and living room and floors throughout the entire house. In the next 5 years we will need a new roof and concrete driveway laid, plus a complete electrical upgrade. We will use Brent Davis Enterprises for all of this. I have already given his name to many people as I am asked on a regular basis who did the work on our house and shed? Brent is one in a million. I would tell anyone, with all the horrible contractors in our area, and believe me there are a lot, he is the best of the best. I don't now what other people are saying in their reviews, I did not find any of their negative comments to be my personal experience. I will add that Brent likes a 15% cushion on large projects, but I have found this practice really avoids the back end problem of running over budget when unplanned situations arise, and gutting an older home always has it's surprises. The smaller projects came in on budget, no surprises. Also 2015 was a terrible year for outside home projects that started 4 to 6 weeks late due to the unrelenting rain. The fact that Brent was able to accommodate the projects he promised to do with all the bad weather says a lot about his integrity. I do however have a suggestion, with the size of his growing business, perhaps a it's time to get a secretary. He works to hard. Thanks again for everything. Hope to see you this fall. After trying to reach one of over 10 repair services, and the original sales people, I signed up for Angie's list and enlisted their assistance since we were leaving town on Tuesday AM for over two weeks. Expert Appliance Service was the only group that returned my call and was willing to not only come out on Friday evening but also drove to MD on Saturday to obtain the necessary part and returned the same day to fix the appliance. In all instances, communication was pleasant and professional, and empathetic to the circumstances we were in with our holiday travel plans. The service was efficient and the problem was explained, including a heads up on how future issues may be more difficult to resolve due to the discontinuation of the unit. I would definitely use this service again - although the price was high, it was in range of what I had been quoted by two of the other services that could not address our issues as an emergency situation. When I went to Alpha, Ciprian was very helpful and attentive. He listened to my description of the kitchen and showed me granites he thought would be appropriate. I told him I was only interested in a level one price point and he never tried to push me to consider something more expensive. ( I was spiffing up a condo that will be sold in a couple years) Also, unlike in the past, I was not working with a designer, interior decorator, or general contractor , I coordinated the plumber with the granite installers and the appliance delivery and all went well. When I signed the contract with Alpha, I put down a 50% deposit. Alpha arrived when they said they would to template and to install. The installation took place about 8 days after measuring. The tile backsplash was purchased from them and was also nicely done by Daniel who was sent by Alpha. Throughout the process, I would text Ciprian with questions and he would answer promptly. What more could you ask for? A job well done within budget, on time with a contractor who communicates with you. Installer Miguel is great, he goes above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Alpha. Yes, it seems unusual to report on an insurance company, but this one is so responsive and supportive that they deserve credit. The accident occurred just before Christmas during a big snow storm. As you would expect, this threw us way off schedule for a number of year end meetings, and scheduled holiday events. USAA took the anxiety out of the process and handled all the details. After we reported the accident to USAA, they made all the arrangements to have the car towed and contacted the collision shop to make arrangements for repairs. They answered questions about our coverage, and provided advice on how to proceed. Everything was completed quickly and there were no doubts or qualifications on getting the repairs done. The repair shop was ecstatic about their dealings with USAA.
So, while I am writing about this incident specifically, I would like to add that we have had all our insurance through USAA for over 40 years, and would strongly recommend them to anyone who qualifies (a member of the armed services or any relative of an armed service member). They are the easiest, and most knowledgeable people to deal with. They respond immediately, and pay for claims quickly.

Kunco's had one of the nicest displays and all of the staff in the booth transmitted a favorable image, wearing nice company logo shirts, and discussing their services in a professional manner. All of the other contractors were willing to state a base price per square foot, but Kunco's avoided answering that question. In retrospect, perhaps that should have been a red flag. The price quote was remarkably high. Since we wanted a top quality job, we ultimately went with Kunco's, but had to scale back the size and features of the project significantly to meet budget considerations. We signed and paid the deposit in August, then had to wait until the end of the fall for them to install it. In fact, they said they couldn't place the sealant on the pavers until the next springtime arrived, which turned out to be June 6th. They charged us an additional $1,500 for the sealer job, not telling us that would be an extra fee until the installation of the pavers was completed. The workmanship itself was excellent, however, which makes the binary question above "would you use this provider in the future?" a little hard to answer. We might consider it, but only if they put every single aspect of the job discussion in writing, which we had taken on a handshake. Here are some of the other issues which arose: -Standing water. A curved decorative wall was placed, but it holds standing water on the patio surface for a day after a rain. They drilled a few holes with a masonry drill to mitigate this, but not fully effective. -Forgot conduit. They were supposed to lay some pieces of PVC conduit beneath the walkways to enable landscape lighting installation. Not done. -Skid steer (tractor) drove on edge of existing concrete sidewalk, depressing one side a half inch. We let that go, but it's annoying. -Hauled dirt away. The excavated dirt was supposed to fill low spots in the back yard. They forgot, and hauled it away. -Switched brick pavers. Said they changed suppliers. In the process, lower quality "accent" or trim pavers were used, not the ones they showed us which contained granite chips. -Lawn re-installation washed out. Placed a thin layer of topsoil and hydro-seeded, again so late in the fall it didn't grow, and remains very spotty. Declined to revise it as requested. -Grit/filler power-washed away during prep for sealant. Paver patios do not have mortar, but a special filler which is supposed to last. They tell you not to powerwash it away, but in many spots their prep for the sealant did just that; left it as-is. So, overall, Kunco's job with our paver patio was done with excellent cutting and precise placement of the pavers and walls, but with numerous disappointing aspects otherwise. A deposit was made and the first third of the total amount of the cost paid in August. No work began until November at which time the siding portion of the job was done. In addition the existing deck was removed and the holes dug for the support posts which were also installed. A few days prior to Christmas all work stopped, however I thought this was just due to the holidays After the first of the year when no additional work had been done nor contact with me I called Marty Deniziak several times, never receiving a call back until I told him vial voice mail that I would be contacting my attorney if he did not call me. I received a call from him within the hour at which time he told me some rambling story about someone filing some type of grievance against him which had frozen both his business and personal funds. He further stated he had a court hearing coming up at the end of January and assured me that everything would be find and work would once again be done. I began calling him again at the beginning of February when nothing further had been done and informed him I had been in contact with my attorney and I would also be in touch with the Attorney General?s Office of Consumer Protection, Better Business Bureau and Angie?s List. I received a call from him the next day telling me that things had taken a little longer than he anticipated, but by the end of February it would be all cleared up. Work finally resumed in March, with Steve and David performing all the work between just the 2 of them. Needless to say Deniziak was right there to collect the 2nd third of the money. Finally the work was done in June with only the installation of the French Doors remaining. Like a fool I paid the last third of the money to Deniziak, thinking that the problems were now behind us, but was I wrong. From June until the end of October nothing was done on the French Doors. In the interim I discovered Deniziak had moved from their showroom on West 8th Street to a basement office in the Colony Plaza and the showroom was up for sale. From June until October I made at least 4 trips to his ?office? only to find he was never there and despite the receptionist calling him in my presence and telling him I was upset he never returned my calls. Finally on my last visit, I did something that I always try to avoid and that is I went off on the receptionist. Once again I told her to tell Deniziak that I would once again be calling my attorney and I expected the French Doors to be installed before the end of the month. I am happy to say the doors were installed and I am happy with the quality of the work his employees performed, but due to the fact that it took almost a year to complete a job that should have only taken 4 months at the most, coupled with the fact of contacting Deniziak was a nightmare I would never hire him again. In all fairness all the work done be Steve and David was top notch. As a side note, and I have no first had knowledge on thisbut don?t doubt it, I have been told Deniziak has declared bankruptcy.

To keep my pet contained in the yard and give him a free space to run, 2. To establish a private space for entertaining/lounging and 3. To prevent the neighbor dogs from escaping their boundary fence and entering my yard. Subsequent to reading Terran Fence's perfect reviews on Angie's List, I called them immediately after having my land surveyed. Frankie was great at answering all of my questions and providing photographs of past jobs, just so I could get a feel for their product offering. After she added me to the schedule, Dennis met with me to go over all possible fencing options. Since I have a small tract home on the west side of Erie that is extremely close to the neighbors' land, choosing a fence that didn't make me feel boxed in was an absolute must. What's more, I don't have a backdoor - only a side door and front door - so this made everything extra challenging. Dennis suggested we solve this problem by fencing in the back yard with privacy panels then finishing it off with picket fencing up one side (between my home and my neighbor's home) and adding a gate across the front of my side steps/side door. I approved this suggestion, so he measured my yard and gave me a ballpark figure that day. Frankie emailed me the official quote the following morning which required a deposit for the special order materials and my signature. The official contract was sent a day or so later. After signing the contract, I obtained a fence permit from the Erie Code Enforcement Office. Within 5 days, my special order materials were in and Dennis and his crew began installing the Tuesday after the Memorial Day holiday. Within a two day period, my fence was up, functioning well, and looking sharp. (Truth be told, I think the neighbors are a little jealous!) Not only am I happy with the finished product, my puppy is "over the moon" excited at being able to run around and play off-leash in his own yard. I'm very much looking forward to landscaping around my new fence this summer and entertaining friends and family in my new, private, backyard oasis! I highly recommend Frankie, Dennis and the entire Terran Fence team for any fencing job - big or small!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/pa/girard/terran-fence-co-and-dog-guard-of-erie-reviews-5454329.htm"},"position":10}]}

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to [email protected] with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's 225 for 11x14's 275 for 14x17's After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976
