Losch Services Inc. was formed in 2014 as an employee re-organization of the company. Operating without any debt, and private (employee) equity available for re-investment, training and modernization of equipment, Losch services is positioned for our next 85 years of service. Losch Boiler Sales and Service was established in 1929 as a service company for the famous Losch coal stoker manufactured by the Losch Boiler Company of Summit Station, PA (a separate entity). In 1946, Losch was one of the first plumbing and heating companies to begin delivering home heating oil to homes in a predominantly coal heated region. In 1987, Losch started trading under the name Losch Plumbing and Heating, Inc. Although Losch still serviced coal stokers at the time, the name change was enacted to reinforce that Losch was engaged in all types of plumbing and heating service. Losch Services Inc. now offers an array of services including plumbing, heating, light electrical, carpentry, bathroom remodel, home repairs, drain and sewer cleaning, well pumps, water heaters and natural gas, oil, propane or coal furnace installations to thousands of satisfied customers throughout Schuylkill and surrounding counties.

Residential energy auditing and energy efficiency consulting. We work with home owners, builders, architects, developers, non profits, government agencies and small businesses. The majority of our work is with single family and multi family homes, both existing and new construction. For existing homes we provide energy auditing services with inspection and testing to determine which home improvements would provide a more comfortable and safer home with the least investment. An energy audit should be the first step in any plans for home improvements as it will prioritize the multiple tasks to insure the over all project provides "the best bang for the buck". We provide home energy audits for the local utilities (PPL, MetEd, PECO/EnergyWorks) energy efficiency programs and for programs like PA Home Energy, KeystoneHELP and Home Performance with Energy Star (HPwES). We handle the submission of rebate paperwork for home owners in these programs. We can provide Energy Star qualification services for major home rehabs which may qualify for incentive payments to the builder. For new construction we can work for the home owner, the architect or the builder to insure the home meets the proposed quality, comfort and energy efficiency desired. We can provide advisory services, plan review, energy efficiency modeling of different options for construction or mechanical systems, and qualification assistance with diffrent energy efficient building programs such as Energy Star, Builders Challenge, NAHB Green Homes, or LEEDs for Homes. STC (Sound Transmission Class) ratings tell you how well something blocks airborne noise. It’s a single number that sums up how much sound a material, like a window, can stop across regular speech frequencies. The higher the number, the better the sound reduction. A typical single-pane window hovers around STC 25 (where you can hear normal conversations), while well-sealed, double-pane options can push past STC 45 (which blocks out loud speech and most music). Just keep in mind that STC doesn’t cover everything—low rumbles like bass or thunder can sneak through—so pairing methods are always ideal for the most peace and quiet.

As you look for the right soundproofing drywall for you, you’ll likely come across the Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating. This rating measures a building material’s ability to absorb sound. The higher the number, the better the material absorbs rather than reflects sound, reducing noise transmission. The STC rating for drywall doesn’t mean it’s for the panel itself—it refers to the STC rating for the entire wall system, including the soundproofing drywall.

Hawaii is currently rated as the most expensive state for utilities. How much are utilities for a house in Hawaii? With electricity costs in Hawaii totaling nearly 42 cents per kilowatt-hour, residents are paying more to run their households than any other residents. Electricity costs in Hawaii are so high, mostly due to the fact that most of the electricity available to residents is produced using oil that must be shipped in from other places.

There are several strategic ways to lower your home insurance premium. The primary one is to shop around and get quotes every few years to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Also, sometimes bundling your auto and homeowner’s insurance will get you a discount on both. Finally, try to keep your credit score up; many homeowner insurance companies use credit scores to generate quotes.
