We had an extreme amount of water in a yard that flooded the drain field. Our septic backed up into the basement. They came late on a Friday afternoon when no one else was interested and fixed the problem quickly. We used them before for routine service and were happy but we are ecstatic with the response and service this time. Thank you so much.

Thorough explanation of costs on initial phone call so there were no hidden or surprise costs, which have incurred with another company in the past. Provided service far beyond pumping of the tank. Very knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions. Thoroughly cleaned tank and explained and showed me why he suspected a problem. Highly recommend and will certainly use again.

Called Marlene last week to set up an appointment for a 1000 gal septic tank cleaning. She was very helpful to set up a good date for me and explained the cost details in case the tank pumping was higher than the 1000 gal. Jeff Apgar came in on time with a nice clean truck to do the work. He was very nice and helpful to explain details of the workings of the septic tank. Also he went above the call of duty to try to remove a used pipe left at the bottom of the tank by the previous repair crew many years ago but the metal pipe was too heavy for the tool he had (no extra charge). He worked fast and efficient. I will use their services next time.

Marlene was extremely helpful. She was upfront and informed of costs and possible extra fees which may be incurred. Same day service. Fantastic! Jeff was on time, efficient and work performed was as described. He did advise of further septic needs we should address and have contacted a repair service for such work. We will follow their recommendations and call them back in 3-4 years. Extremely satisfied with their service.

Jeff was great. He was very professional and courteous. A few days after the service was done I had a few questions regarding some things related to the septic tank that he mentioned while on site. He took the time to call me at work and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend them!

Jeff was on-time, polite, and knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing including the condition of the scum and sludge layers. He cleaned up when he was done so there was no residual odor.

He was on time, professional and honest throughout his visit. He even had to make a few trips to get the proper equipment needed and didn't charge extra. When I initially called, his mother, the administrator, was very helpful in answering questions we had. I highly recommend them for any septic maintenance. You can tell its a family business who takes pride in doing the right thing by their customers.

It is a delight to communicate with these folks. It really is a family company and it is remarkably easy to deal with them.They are OBVIOUSLY knowledgable, patient, and highly professional. (And, maudlin as it might sound - it represents a form of pride in your work that their truck was downright shiney!) A price was provided for basic work and my contact was very clear that IF specific types of trouble occurred, specific additional costs would also occur. Unfortunately for them, I could not say certainly where, or how deep, the tank was, nor when it had last been pumped. I did indicate that we were not aware of any problems. My awkward ignorance was met with good natured assurrence that they would almost surely have less difficulty than I feared. Considering that they could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge regarding our system, their business ethics are exceptional.

Our septic system showed signs of trouble and we needed service in a hurry. Jeff came out at the end of a very busy day and examined our system. He is very professional and gave good advice. Our septic tank was pumped out that night and he made suggestions for work to be done over the summertime to get the system to where it needs to be. One note I need to make is that he pays attention to detail and is immaculate in what he does. He made sure not to leave a trace behind. I have always believed that you can judge someone by the way they maintain their work equipment. Especially considering the type of work they do, they maintain everything to a very high standard. Jeffs truck looks like it was driven off the factory floor yesterday, even though it has some time on it. I would gladly have them back again!

We called several companies listed on Angie's list but felt that Apgar and Sons were both reasonable and professional. A few companies had an attitude and acted like they were doing us a favor. Jeff showed up on time, meticulous, and through. We were very happy with the service and would recommend him to anyone
