"Mow Town did an excellent job! I submitted a inquiry online, to have my gutters cleaned and they called within a few minutes to acknowledge my request. They came out that same day to provide me a quote which was amazing. Their quote was extremely reasonable and fair compared to other contractors. Within 2 days, they had me on their schedule and completed the work. They recommend the importance and value of replacing only a portion of my gutter covers that were bad which obviously was causing the main direct issue with leaves being clogged. Their quote on that service for installation and materials was incredibly cheap compared to again other companies cost that I spent time reviewing. They very well easily could have told me my entire house needed all replaced to get extra money but that wasnâ t at all the case. He only recommend the portion of the roof that truly needed replaced as the other parts were fine. They came back 2 days to install those covers. Throughout both projects, they were professional, sincere, helpful, responsive and good quality work performed at a fair price. I will be using them for additional home projects and would absolutely recommend them to anyone as well. You will be very pleased!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.

Embarking on a kitchen demolition comes with its share of risks to keep in mind. Think of potential encounters with asbestos, sharp objects, and power tools—not to mention the peril of structures wobbling or unexpected plumbing surprises. And, of course, you will be surrounded by dust and debris throughout the process. All of the above makes safety gear necessary, or you can consider hiring a qualified professional.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.
