Our Inspector is a graduate of the American Society of Home Inspectors School at Cincinnati State Technical Community College for Home Inspection. He has completed an apprenticeship under a licensed Structural Engineer and has years of hands-on experience in all phases of the construction field, as well as performing home inspections. Also having been Owner/proprietor of a construction company, gives our inspector an advantage over most home inspection companies as far as knowing exactly what the client expects and actual construction experience. Buying a new home is probably the biggest investment you'll ever make and it is a decision that will affect you for years to come. The process can be extremely stressful and confusing. And of course, there is always considerable risk involved when making such a large purchase decision. Our inspection report is a computerized, reader friendly document which includes pictures taken at the property site as well as illustrations that help our clients to understand the condition of the property. You should feel free to ask the inspector any questions you may have during the inspection process. The inspector will point out deficiencies within the property and explain the cause of the concern. He strongly advised against any interior drains for my basement, and he instead recommended an exterior drain called HydroBlox for my backyard. The estimate for the HydroBlox was $3,400. The installation occurred a few weeks later. Three employees used a machine to dig a trench in my backyard, and then because of utility lines, they hand-dug another trench in my side yard. They installed the pieces of HydroBlox and covered them with dirt. I expect the HydroBlox to properly drain the water from my yard, but if they do not, then I will update my review in the future."
