"Ryan and Casey were professional and very skilled at their craft. I am so grateful for their services and flexibility and would HIGHLY recccomend them. "Jose was very punctual and did an excellent job on two days with removal of two large trees. He managed to maneuver exactly where tree limbs would fall, with no damages. Reasonable price, very respectful, thorough clean up. I will hire Jose again."

"Malachi’s Keystone Lawncare goes way beyond lawncare. After the snow storm this past weekend dropping almost two feet of snow in East Stroudsburg PA I was literally trapped in my home. Malachi came to the rescue and dug my car which was completely encapsulated in snow and ice doing an extremely professional job. He also cleated my steps walkway and other property so I can now freely and safely leave my home. I recommend Malachi’s Keystone Lawncare as he is second to none. I also plan to utilize his services for lawncare projects."

"Highly recommend Mueller tree service. Outstanding work done by Brandon and his very experienced crew. They took a very tall beech tree that was extremely close to my house and garage and systematically removed it in a very selective and controlled manner. Very nice low cut on the tree stump and excellent job site cleanup. Also took down two other trees and cleaned up branches hanging over my house. All at a very reasonable price. You won't be disappointed."

"We were heading to our second home in the Poconos on a Friday night. We were looking for estimates to remove a shed in our backyard. Pro Joes came the next morning at 10:30am! We did not know that two trees had fell on the back of our home until early Saturday morning. We cleaned up quite a bit before they came. Their company was quick to leand a hand to carefully remove the trees off the roof so we could continue cleaning the mess. They removed the shed & were back that week with any estimate to repair the roof! Excellent communication, unbelievable turnaround time & very friendly. We would definitely recommend!!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.

Many consider the Fraser fir to be the most popular type of Christmas tree, but which type of tree sells out near you can depend on region and decorating trends that year. For example, the Leyland cypress is especially popular in the Southeast, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.

The best time to trim trees is in late fall through winter when the tree has slowed its growing for the year. Cold weather stops insects and fungal growth from attacking a new tree wound. Summer and fall are considered the worst times to trim trees, but it’s permissible in certain scenarios, such as tree disease, damaged branches, or small, aesthetic cuts.

You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax.
