"Mike did an excellent job in repairing my 30+ year old deck by removing all deck boards, railings and stair stringers and installed all new PT lumber. In addition, he replaced all joist hangers. I am very pleased with how the deck turned out."

"I made it clear that I was hiring this cleaning service for deep clean before an Open House, as I am in the process of selling my Home at 1215 Perry Ln York, PA and I expected to see everything cleaned from top to bottom in the rooms agreed upon. However, what I found was dust cobwebs in bathroom, none of the Blinds were cleaned, dust accumulation was still found under the floor vents, kitchen cabinets and stainless steel appliances were still soiled, the floors in nearly every room were still dusty, and the kitchen tiles still weren?t swept and mopped as I found dried Rice on floor. I did a walk through with the cleaning crew of one and she attempted to quickly clean some areas where I pointed out to still be dusty and she didn?t stick around long enough for me to finish my exploration of the house. I paid her $250.00 after less than two hours of work, before I realized how much she had missed in this so called, deep clean. Very disappointed with the outcome and so was my Realtor."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

In many cases, professionals can completely remove certain types of smoke damage from walls and ceilings, but it’s only possible if the damage is minor. For more extensive damage from major fires, you’ll likely need to replace the damaged materials entirely. Some items, like upholstered furniture, are much trickier to clean and might need to be replaced even if the smoke damage is minimal.

Whether you’re a renter or a buyer, you should clean a house when moving out. For renters, it’s usually written in the lease that a house must be cleaned before it’s vacated. If you’re unsure how thoroughly to clean the place, check with the landlord beforehand; otherwise, you may not receive your deposit back. When selling a house, a contractual agreement is often made with the realtor that the house is swept and that all personal belongings are removed before the previous owners move out.

Before hiring a cleaning service for your home, it's wise to ask several questions. Find out what services they offer, whether they work alone or with a company, and if they can provide references. It's also important to ask if they conduct background checks on employees. Inquire about their scheduling, availability, and when they can provide an estimate. Confirm if they have insurance, offer a guarantee, and bring their own cleaning supplies and equipment. You should also clarify if you need to be home during the cleaning, what arrangements are necessary for pets, and if there is a written contract. Finally, ask how they set their rates and if they are available for emergencies and what those charges would be.

One of the best ways to prepare for a home biohazard cleanup is not to touch anything. Do not remove belongings, even if they are of value or importance, from the area as they are likely contaminated. It’s essential not to use any cleaning products of your own, as the cleaning company will be using chemicals that could interact with your products.

One thing you can do to prepare is take pictures of your space and belongings that need to be cleaned, especially if you plan on filing a claim with your insurance company. In addition, take time to make a list of items that are valuable, sentimental, or otherwise important. The cleanup company must evaluate these belongings to make sure they are safe.

If you don’t want to use dishwasher pods, you can use liquid or powder dishwasher detergent or dishwasher tablets. Alternatively, you can make a DIY dish detergent by putting two or three drops of liquid dishwashing soap in the dispenser and filling the rest with baking soda. You should never use laundry detergent, household all-purpose cleaners, or a full dispenser of liquid dish detergent.
